The chick stew was to perfection!! The hush puppies, slaw, sweet potato souffle & beans were delicious. All employees were very nice, were busy cleaning or taking orders. The flooring has been professionally cleaned & the ceiling repaired & painted. It's not the Holdens from previous reviews. Holdens got a makeover & your feet will not stick to the floor now, all tables are clean & that's the 1st thing I noticed, how nice the dining area looked....
Chicken stew and hush puppies can’t be beat. Slaw is pretty good too. I would describe the atmosphere as “essential.” Wherever you are, it’s worth the drive just for the chicken stew.
