Very nice establishment. We didn't eat this time. Only stopped in for a drink. We will definitely revisit.

We had such an amazing dining experience at Bistro 221! We visited with friends for the first time to try this restaurant after reading their great reviews, even traveling from Summerville which was such a nice drive I might add. Bistro 221 has so much history and you immediately feel that when you step inside. The atmosphere is incredible, you don’t want to leave. We dined on the patio and it was lovely. The drinks were delicious. We all tried something different. We ordered fried pickles and fried catfish as our appetizers and loved both. I had the fish tacos for dinner and they were excellent. Everyone loved their dinner and we finished with chocolate chip cake for dessert. The owner showed us the party room on the second floor which is available to rent for any special occasion and it was so eclectic with its own bar and restrooms. I really love the vibe of this place and can’t wait to return.

We live in Summerville and were looking for somewhere new to eat dinner. We found this restaurant on google and it had great reviews. Normally we drive twenty to thirty minutes to go into Charleston for dinner, so to drive the same distance in a different direction didn’t make a difference to us! It was a beautiful, scenic, peaceful drive! When we arrived, We were so impressed with the atmosphere of this restaurant. The owner took the time to tell us about the history of the building and the town. We sat outside in the beautiful outdoor eating area. The drinks were really good and reasonably priced. Our meals were so good! We will definitely be back!

Delightful find to eat! Kira, our server, was great. Service was very fast.
My husband and I had the ribeye steak and it was cooked as we ordered.
Very tasty. Cut very tender even with a regular knife.
Our sides and our appetizer of Catfish bites was great also.
On our next trip through to the low country, we will remember this place!

We had a rehearsal dinner upstairs in the private room. Everything was great and we had a nice evening. Kira took great care of us.

What a pleasant surprise to find such a great little place off the beaten path. The service was quick, friendly and of course, with a smile. We enjoyed the salmon with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. The salmon was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and paired well with the veggies and potatoes that were great, too. Our second plate was the shrimp and grits. It is one of my favorite meals and many restaurants have been judged on their shrimp and grits. They were some of, if not the best I have had. We even made the comment while we were there that we would have to return just for the shrimp and grits again. Well done!!!

I wished I had paid more attention to the reviews prior to attempting to have dinner at this restaurant. We were greated by one one of the chefs who took us to our table and told us someone else would be right with us. As we were sitting there waiting, the waitress walked passed our table multiple times without acknowledging our presence. We gave up on waiting and went to another local restaurant to have dinner. Do not waste your time at this restaurant unless you enjoy waiting.

We must have caught the bad day. Went to celebrate wedding anniversary after church today. Was excited about trying for first time. Couldn’t order from dinner menu due to menu not served on Sunday. I ordered the chicken special. Chicken was hard and burnt. Disappointed but may try again.

Dietary restrictions: Not listed, but they have several of the items that can be prepared gluten-free, speak to them, and they will use a new pan vs. the grill.

The nicest place I have found in the Walterboro St George area. As nice as almost any place in Charleston or Savannah.
