Shugs Southern Soul Cafe

This place is definitely not worth anyone’s time or money. Had to wait what felt like forever for drinks to be refilled, order to be taken etc. The food was disgusting and service was not satisfactory. We will definitely not be back! Anywhere else in St. George is better than this place.

Most pleasant restaurant experience in a long time. Noah, the chef, and his wife Blanche were so very personable and pleasant to talk with. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac & cheese and even the cornbread (mine and my wife's because she was full ?) were all delicious. Great comfort food just off the interstate for weary travellers ?

I cannot review the food as the hours were incorrect. We tried diving there today (Sunday 3:40pm) and were told that they were closing in 15min. Everything online stated 5pm. We were bummed...reviews were quite favorable. Please change the hours online.

We try to stop here when traveling through. Owner personally serves and talks to customers. Provided good food and good service. Fried pork chop sandwich was good.

We recently moved to the area and I came across RBI’s restaurant while taking a drive around the town. I went home and read the reviews and knew I had to come here. There were six of us on a Friday night and we were seated a family style table, which was great considering it was mostly guys with us. Our waitress went above and beyond and made us feel like we were at home. The food was delicious and we all ordered something different. I can’t wait to go back!! If you are in Saint George- you need to go here!! Five stars!!

If you’re looking for an authentic “down home soul food” experience, then put a stop at Shugs at the top of your list! Food was absolutely delicious...the fried chicken was just like my mom used to make! The staff is friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean with thoughtful decor, and you can even get a glass of your favorite adult beverage! #nottheaverageroadsidestop

First time I have been here at this restaurant and the food is delicious. I was greeted as I entered the restaurant and the Waitress is very Courteous and helpful. I will Definitely be returning for some more food at this restaurant.

Very clean restaurant and restroom. Very polite staff and waitress. The food was cooked perfectly and flavorful! I was super happy that the rice actually had flavor (when most places do no not). We ordered a kids chicken tender with fries, frilled chicken tacos with Shugs sauce, and a classic burger medium well. The burger was cooked exactly how asked, the fries and chicken were fresh and not over seasoned and the chicken tacos were juicy! This place nailed it and made our stop in South Carolina worth it!

Amazing food, great smiles all around!! Highly recommend the drive. Bypass the chains and come here for a delightful homemade, southern soul meal! Thank you!!

Really great southern food. A great friendly staff. Overall a great visit and if we lived closer we'd be here very often.

Found this sweet place while traveling through. Great food and service. Shrimp and grits were perfect, crab cake too. Definitely worth the minute or 2 from the chain restaurants by the interstate. Do yourself a favor!

In the small town of St. George, this restaurant served a delicious meal that was fresh and tasty even at 8pm, an hour before closing. They were very accommodating to my cousin and I, after getting there late to get a good meal!

Worst experience ever at a restaurant. We had a group of 18 and were basically the only people in there and the management was very rude to us. We had a birthday party and brought a cake in there with us and asked for some paper plates and was told by management that the plates were for customers. Hello rude people, we are customers. Keep in mind that they had a dessert bar with the plates there. We will not be going there ever again.
