“I have eaten here many times since 1998 when they were in the old location. The first time we tried the place we were here looking for a lake house to buy and the entire family voted to come back the next night... and the following night. Three meals in three days. Over the years we have gotten to know many of the wait staff and have never had a disappointing meal. We have carried as many as 10 friends over at one time and have always been treated like family. Most of the time it's just the two of us, or maybe us with one couple. Frank I(the owner) s a real live character who we have watched go from a young black haired guy to a grey haired gentleman. We have seen his kids take responsibility and provide excellent service fitting the real NY Italian tradition that Frank brought here from the Empire State. The food is as good as any Italian you will experience. The sauces are fresh, the breads are fresh, the ingredients for every dish are top level... They make their all their sauces, etc fresh in the morning. The only thing they do not make is the pasta, and that's pretty easy to pick up... and a pain to make, so no problem. Expect a bit of a wait if you don't have reservations. There is some seating up front and you will likely have a lot of company to engage with. The place is popular... very popular. They have great desserts too. Obviously made with attention to detail. I love their Tiramisu and think is is the best I have had, period. The menu changes over time, so it's difficult to say what is the best dish. They had a Sicilian Trio of three pasta dishes for a while. If it ever pops up on the menu again, try it. The bar is a fun place to sit and eat if you prefer to eat rather than waiting for a table. They make great drinks, and they have a good wince list. If you see Frank, invite him over for a drink and he will join you if he's not too busy. I used to have a count of how many times we have eaten there... at about 150 I quit counting. Definitely this is the single most popular place on our list. Frank once told me to come by sometime and he would open a nice bottle of wine with me and my wife. We haven't caught him on a quiet night yet, but I'm certain he was serious. I can't say enough nice things about the place. It's great food, super service, casual atmosphere... A perfect "go to" restaurant that is good enough for special occasions and casual enough for an impromptu dinner after a day on the lake. Yes, we did build a lake house as a second home in 1999. After retiring in 2014, we build a second Lake place selling the first place and our home in Atlanta. So now we can eat at Paesano's on a weekday...“
