As a wife of an engineer in the Nuclear Power industry I know first hand what it's like to live in a hotel for months on end. Many of his crew works night shift and Jim has been there himself. You get off work at 4 or 5 am and nothing is open. You can't shut your stomach off so you're left with gas station or vending machine food. Very small refrigerators in the hotel rooms so you can't stock up on much other than some deli meat and cheese. Yesterday while visiting my husband on the road, we stopped at one of our favorite places in Seneca The Spot on the Alley. They were closed, or so we thought. Just as we turned to walk away from the locked door a man came and unlocked it. He let us in and explained they were just finishing up a few renovations. He kept apologizing and if we didn't mind them cleaning up they could serve us shortly. He said they were running odd hours due to the outage and decided to get a few things done in between the busy hours. I told him we just wanted to get an appetizer as we already had dinner plans but we were hungry and it would be a few hours before we were able to eat. He served us a big bowl of queso and fresh chips. I ordered a drink from the bar and we sat and talked quietly watching them work to get things put away. So the man came back and handed us a menu and invited us to come back the next morning. Come to find out they open early for the outage workers. The Spot on the Alley opens at 5 am during outage season for night shift to be able to get something hot to eat after a long night of hardwork. I just have to mention how nice I think it is. The man did tell me he only purchased The Spot on the Alley a few months prior. We have so much respect for these little towns who host hundreds of Plant workers a few months out of the year. Not to many businesses take into account the shifts these men and women work and their sacrifices and the odd shifts often times put their good health into question. So thank you for opening early for night shift. Don't know who will see it but here's the menu.
I absolutely love the gluten free quesadilla here. Food is Great & staff is friendly.

I go to the spot when I get the chance. When go there the service is spotty. If your a regular you get great service. When I do go there the servers seem more concerned about flirting than serving. I was sitting at the bar with no drink or food in front of me. The servers were standing around talking and eating or checking their phones. This has happened many times. Not to mention they were walking right by me and not even asking me if I wanted anything. All the other people were getting great service. Apparently if you go there on a daily basis you get better service. I had to get their attention to get a beer and a menu. I will give them one more chance. If this continues I will spend my money elsewhere and give better tips.

Me and a couple of friends of ours picked up some to go orders to get back to her place trying to eat it could not the burger was dry my husband said, he had chili cheese fries it was hamburger meat with shredded cheese no seasoning no sauce to make the chili, I had a bacon chicken sandwich grilled the sandwich was dry and rubbery asked for mayonnaise there was no mayonnaise put some on her it still did not help it, my friends got a burger and sloppy joes the sloppy joe was nasty it tastes like old ground beef, my bun on my chicken sandwich was burnt my daughter got a grilled cheese sandwich I flipped it over the side that was down and it was burnt she had two bites of it and threw it down she didn't even eat her french fries my daughter loves food that was a dead giveaway when she would not even eat her grilled cheese and French fries I had to take Pepto bismol before I left their house soon as I got home I had to throw it all up because it made my stomach so bad and my husband's my daughter was still hungry when I got home my friends pay $60 for their food and I paid $40 for my food takeout that was the worst experience ever. Nobody ate their food we threw it away their poor dog would not even eat it.

Sports bar with 10+ TVs. Very nice staff. Nothing fancy. Entire gluten free menu to go along with regular bar food. We shared a large nachos, hamburger, and 4 Margheritas for $46.

The server was very nice. The restaurant was a typical public setting. The food was just meh. The server said that they were under new ownership and things were going to be better. I may give this place another try later on.

Great food and service!
Take out was terrible. Ordered three items and only 1 slightly edible. French Fries were limp and like they had been left in cup of water. Buffalo chicken ice cold, hot not been cooked at all. There has to be a better place in Seneca.
