The Cabana At The Lighthouse

We are locals who can see the Cabana from our home on Keowee. I'm going to cut to the chase.... Having not been since the ownership turnover we made the unfortunate mistake to go to the Cabana today for lunch with my son, daughter-in-law and my wife. Ordered one Orange Crush, 2 coconut shrimp tacos and beef nachos. Orange crush ($14) was just OJ, coconut shrimp 3-4 in taco no bigger than a quarter all breading no coconut or shrimp for that matter, pre-processed garbage.... and nachos all chips and lettuce hardly any trace of beef. SAD excuse for bad expensive food & beverage. If this is what others are getting this place will unfortunately go by the wayside with the owners scratching their heads wondering what they did wrong.
My $$$ are going elsewhere.

Great place, Great service especially from Mason who was very attentive. Customer service was top notch and Great drinks and food. The view was amazing.

Very nice little spot on the water. The staff was amazing making sure our large party was seated and served promptly. Very good fried pickles. Selection was a little minimal but no complaints on what we ordered. Will definitely go back when in the area.

4 star food. 2 star service. 5 star atmosphere. 2 stars is a leap. Some are pretentious and rude, and some are smiling and kind. Dont ask for anything if you have the wrong person and don't ask someone for something that's not your waiter that you have been waiting on forever. You will apparently offend the older ladies that work the bar. There are only a couple and all are rude. Kinda inconsistent, but they do deal with some a holes here and there, so it is what it is. Food is slow or fast sometimes but pretty good regardless. Atmosphere is lake and all types of people so it's great. They shut down if any lightning, which is a safe and good idea, but knowing weather ahead of time helps. Lighthouse doesn't but gets crowded when Cabana shuts down. Def go once if your pulling up in a boat. Not sure I'd eat there, not on the lake (like a drive up). Some cool skies there (pics).

Enjoyed our afternoon immensely! Had eaten at the restaurant but never down at the Cabana. The food was very good and service was excellent. Only one minor glitch...one dish that 2 in our party ordered was not available, but we were not informed until the other orders were ready to come to the table. Since we were Justin enjoying a relaxing afternoon with friends, no big deal! Great place!

My husband found this place and brought me here because I missed being able to have waterfront dining, as we are from coastal VA. It was a wonderful substitute and the atmosphere was very much that of a cabana bar! I enjoyed the music, the service and the food.

Awesome time, good food and the orange crushes are the best ever and we come from a place where it all began. Staff was great, wait for short and we wanted to stay longer but the weather was saying gotta leave on the boat. See ya next time!

Elena our server was excellent and very attentive and nice.

We sat for the view and drinks but had some good chips and queso. I had coconut shrimp tacos that were really good too.

I read all the reviews and they were sorta all over the place. Today, we arrived and it was busy. We were seated in about 10-15 minutes just after a party of 13. Our server arrived shortly and we placed our drink orders. She promptly returned with our drinks and we placed our order. The food came quickly and TBH it was really good. I would say as good as could be expected for a cabana on the lake. Coconut shrimp tacos ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Burger ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ onion rings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ note... When you took a bite of the onion rings, the whole onion didn't come sliding out of the ring. All the cocktails were made perfectly and strong. Ice water was kept full on this hot summer day. The manager had control of her team and her team was on top of it.

We love going here as the atmosphere and the views are awesome. The service at the bar for food has not been great the last two times we've been but they are busy making drinks and is bearable you just have to keep asking for everything. Great place to go and chill out for a drink.

Pretty views to enjoy a lunch,drink everything was really good our server Diane was super nice ...I give it 4 just because it was a tic on the $ side but I guess u pay for the views and convenient boat dock to the restaurant as well the million $ homes that surround the lake I would recommend it as an enjoyable lunch
