Service was great. Our scallop starters were delicious. My husband’s shrimp and grits were good. I had the mushroom gnocchi. It was so heavily seasoned with sage and garlic that it was bitter and inedible. Very disappointing.

Follow up review. We dined here on August 26. I saw the request for me to contact the restaurant on Tuesday Sept 2. I called that evening and left my contact information with the young lady who answered the phone. She told me that someone would get back to me shortly. After 2 days, I have not heard from anyone.

So not only was my meal disappointing, the reason I originally gave 2 star review, customer service does not follow up, the reason I dropped my review to 1 star.

We won’t be back.

Second follow up. I received a call yesterday expressing concern and offering to give us a better experience. I appreciate the call.

For great food and service you can't beat Vangelis and jazz on Wednesday is a great perk. We plan our visit here to hear real jazz and have a superior dining experience with service by Laurie that is above and beyond. Can't wait for the next time every time!!

It was our 15th Anniversary, I called last minute, for reservations, I had a choice of 5pm, as soon as they opened , or 815pm , for 2. We wanted 5- 515 anyway. I'd mentioned it that it was our Anniversary, from the moment we walked in everyone was friendly, wished us a happy Anniversary, a card was on our table with Anniversary greetings, a delicious Anniversary dessert! Now, on to the rest , our server Vanessa was excellent!! The food was superb! Porter house steak cooked perfectly! Roasted potatoes, Brussel sprouts, delicious!! Pork chop was very tender. Excellent all around!!!!

I was at this restaurant yesterday for my grandmother's 96th birthday. We had a lovely time and the food was delicious. We felt catered to. My mother and I were told our meals were gluten free and were safe to eat, and their menu assured the same. The food tasted great and it was a pleasant experience until we both arrived home. The food had gluten and we have celiac disease. My mother is sprawled on her bed in agony and im curled into a ball in gastric pain. I'm not quite sure who's at fault in the restaurant but it was a rather frustrating outcome of a beautiful night.

Was a little confused not disappointed, the bread was good , but the balsamic dipping sauce no , just a preference prefer an olive oil dipping sauce for me , the calamari was extremely disappointing, I live for calamari , the olives overwhelmed it , and the marinara sauce they had on it was just unnecessary prefer to dip it , the gnocchi was extremely good with the shrimp , maybe a little to much garlic but I can live with that , overall everything I heard about it was not what I expected, service however excellent, even at the front .

A local favorite, we brought our 2 sons visiting from out of town preceding Jazz on the Alley. We had an excellent server named Eric (I think) who was very personable and helpful in choosing wine and meals. My wife’s pork chop was very good as one of our son’s gnocchi. Our oldest son and me chose the pasta with shrimp and was moderately disappointed. It lacked something but not sure what it was missing. Eric suggested an excellent Cotes du Rhone that was surprisingly good for the price. The lemon cake for dessert was also very good and I am not a cake person. Vangeli’s is always a good option in the area.

Took over an hour to get the food. I ordered the 24oz porterhouse medium came out rare. Did not want to send back and wait 30 minutes since it took that long to get our water.
