4.2 is too high at time of review. The service was slow and by the time it reached our table it was inaccurate. Not sure if server was having a bad day or what but a table got seated after us and they got their food first. I got French toast and its supposed to come with it but I didnt get it. They took my id to the back to check it because the guy said he didn't have his glasses. The whole experience was overall strange and upsetting. The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because at least the manager tried to make it right with my check.

Service was good. Food was dry and tasted like warmed up leftovers. Biscuits were dry, dark brown, and bland. Very disappointing. CB used to be very dependable and served good food. Two of our last three experiences have been mediocre to bad. Hope they can turn it around. Probably not going back to this one.

Decided to try this restaurant out one more time, because the last time was a few years ago and the food was terrible This. time I just walked out because the waiter keeped on skipping me and taking other orders bf me. I will never go to another one !

I had the french toast breakfast. The french toast was tough and you could tell the griddle had not been scraped clean before preparing and it had bits of old burnt pieces of something. Not good. The eggs were under cooked and the sausage patties were over cooked. I think they were actually turkey sausage as they just didn’t taste like pork. The young lady serving us was polite but could not be attentive as she said they were short staffed.

Took some foreign visitors to try out a more traditional, Southern meal. They weren't treated to the right Southern hospitality though. It was the first and only time during their trip to SC that they felt discriminated against. The attendees were rude and impatient, and one outright ignored them. I won't be coming here or bringing people here ever again.

Prices have increased. It was a good and reasonable place for retirees to eat. Getting too expensive. Like the old antiques, not pleased with news of updating to modern style.

Don't buy anything you not positive you want to keep it. Even with receipt they Will Not give cash back. If your card isn't tap capable you are stuck with a gift card for cracker barrel.

Used to love going here for breakfast because of that atmosphere.now that your going bland and changing everything I don't think I'll be back.

I liked the food but I didn’t get what I really wanted. I want it fried chicken and for some reason now they only make that on Saturday and Sunday so I guess I won’t be getting that ever again very disappointing. Also, they have cut way down on your sides When I first started going there. You could get a bowl of vegetables a bowl of mac & cheese now they gave me like a spoonful another disappointment. Also, I noticed that some of the sides are put on premium and that’s where you can get a full bowl which what’s up with that I think that’s price gouging people the food is not that great to charge 649 for a bowl of pinto beans I can make a whole big bag of them for less than that. Also, I heard there’s some changes coming to how the place looks. That’s not gonna go well because I will never go there again there’s nothing wrong with how it is now young people go there old people go there white people go there Black people go there there’s no reason to change it
