I don’t leave bad reviews especially with small restaurants but this is actually the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly but the food just was not good. We also ordered an extra side of rice and beans thinking it would be $3.25 but it was actually $3.25 for the rice and another $3.25 for the beans and no the portions were not big. I would never pay $6.50 for a side of rice and beans and when I asked about it they wouldn’t budge on the extra $3.25.

Update: March 17, 2024. Such a shame! Just lowered my rating from a 2 star to a one!. This place could truly be a goldmine, but the workers just don't care! Wake up you owners!!! The people you have working for you are going to put you out of business!!! THEY JUST DON'T CARE!!!! Please look at your reviews! Yeah, I know, they've all been there for 20+ years but you've got to learn how to MANAGE these people and get this place where it should be. The food is just terrible! The beer is bad too because they don't clean the tap lines! Very important detail for good beer! Please get your act together and this place will flourish! If there was any real competition in five forks you guys would be out of business. Please get it together!Owners: Please take this feedback sincerely. I don't want to criticize, but you have so much potential being the only "real" Mexican place in five forks. Great bar area and cool looking place inside. I wanted to like this place because we live in five forks and we love Mexican food. Unfortunately, the food was terrible, twi of us ended up in the bathroom an hour after eating here. My enchiladas were made with canned chicken and now I wonder what other short cuts they are taking. Sadly, we won't be returning unless the food drastically improves.

Not what it used to be. Today I had the Deep fried Chimichanga, with ground beef instead of beef tips. It should have had a crispy texture but it was soggy. No cheese or red sauce over the Chimichanga, which was as bland as it could possibly be. The rice had no seasoning. We always got the Chicken Fahitas for two in previous visits, which isn't as good as it used to be either. Lack of seasoning and sauce.

If you want to salt sodium stroke, this is your place even the guacamole was over, salted incredibly not even just a little bit it was extreme, almost not palpable. In fact, we couldn’t eat any of it in all fairness we did eat the rice that was the only thing we cut it. I made a salad and tossed it all $70 by the way, ordered takeout. I brought it home and after taking everything and figured the only thing salvageable what is the guacamole I put in a full Hass avocado in a small container and it was still salty. The containers were not sealed properly. It was very thrown together very very disappointed. I will not be back even for last minute take out, shame on me for not wanting to drive to Sabroso.

It was $50 for one meal and two margaritas that tasted like all sugar and no tequila. Service was slow. This place has gone downhill. They charge an additional $12 or so just because you ordered alcohol. “Liquor tax” or something?

So I love leaving great reviews and I think I’ve only ever left one bad review many years ago. But I’m sad that this place hasn’t gotten better over the years. They were mediocre 10 years ago, and now they’re just terrible. I sincerely believe nobody that works there cares about what they’re doing. Service is terrible, like the worst…wait times are astronomical, and the food is mediocre at BEST…and saltier than a petty ex girlfriend. Bathroom was horrid. Today was the last time I’ll ever go back.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Ever since Covid hit it has gone straight downhill. California Burrito was the best in town. Now it sucks.
