Joy of Tokyo is very consistent.It's always good.I prefer the hibachi chicken over the teriyaki chicken because there's less salt, but you do you.

worst food ever they over, cooked my shrimp and overcook my steak there’s spring rolls, tasted like mush and inside. No consistency at all this restaurant has gone downhill. Think twice before wasting your good money to eat here.

First off, I typically visit a Joy of Tokyo at least 2-3x a month. This location is TERRIBLE. My rice was obviously “old”… The food overall was literally disgusting. Balls of rice mushed together. I will not visit this location again. Augusta Rd & E North St/Pelham Rd locations are way better! ?

Online doesn't let you add special instructions.Wanted to get one of the four orders with all rice no vegetables, you have to call in store to add instructions.First call was told ok and hung up on.Second call was picked up and I they said hello. I said I would like to add to my online order and was told " ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok" and hung up on.Upon arriving at restaurant was told she didn't understand, by 2 other staff. I explained I wasn't allowed to explain anything so obviously she would be confused, excuse chaged to how busy they were. No apologies now that half the food will be cold or people will miss their lunch.I run a business as well, have some manners, ask to put customer on hold if your busy or fix your online ordering service.I go every so often at my 2nd job and order for 4-8 people and often by myself.I have been coming here since 2016 and will be taking My business to the Fuji restaurant. They seem to appreciate the businesses and know how to talk to people. This isn't the first time I've experienced issues like this here but will be the last.

Burnt food and can’t speak English for certain customers. I came in and stood in line after a women who ordered in store. She moved over and the lady at the cashier skips over me and takes the guy’s order behind me like I was invisible or was just standing in line for fun… for no reason at all! The guy behind me continues to order knowing I was in line in front of him… love the integrity!! After waiting until the guy behind me ordered, the lady at the cash register continues to take the next order behind me once again. I had to say… “excuse me, I was in front of the guy’s order you just took! I need to place an order as well!” The cashier magically quit speaking English all of a sudden and referred to her coworker bagging orders. They both seemed to be lost when I told them I need to pick up my order. Needless to say I finally got my order with an attitude and a sudden loss of how to speak the English language. Ordered teriyaki steak (medium), shrimp and zucchini. Everything was burnt and charred. The steak was over well done and I only had a few pieces. The string and zucchini were also burnt. This location is normally friendly and serves good food. Don’t know what the problem was today. Has gone downhill. Won’t be returning

I'll add to the many reviews here that say that the service is terrible and they don't care at all if they get it wrong. It's sad because they're so close to my house but they're bad service and mediocre food means that I will never order from them again.

This has to be the most disgusting restaurant experience I have ever had. The oysters and spring rolls were dripping with grease, the rice was so overcooked I could bounce it across the floor and the white sauce was rancid. Called the restaurant to complain because I spent over 80 dollars on my order and the guy that answered the phone was rude, refused to give his name after telling me to call cooperate and then hanging up on me. This is absolutely ridiculous. Go to the Laurens road location, they are a million times better.

No one is wearing gloves and I watched a guy put together sushi with NO gloves on and using only his hands. Weird and gross pls just buy some more gloves!!!

Went to eat lunch. Ordered Steak and Broccoli. Spoiled!!!!! Took it back and the refused to give money back. Terrible place to eat. And I reported them to SCDehec.They don't deserve any stars. They deserve to be shut down.

I ordered a steak hibachi delivery but it was completely rotten. Uber support was not helpfull and the person who answers the phone st the resturant was not helpfull he dident even give me his name. So I baisicly paid 34$ to get a rotten stake and waste 3 hours of my life trying to get a reimburcment without success

I ordered a steak hibachi and it was COMPLETLY ROTTEN, I called the restaurant and they told me to call Uber support. after spending 4 hours with Uber I received 14$ refund for a 34$ order. they boy at the registered refused to give me his name but i will be reporting this to the authorities

This place has really gone down hill bad in the past year. It used to be great. Great service, great food and a great atmosphere. Slowly has that all gone away. There’s also an employee that decides to go to the food lion next door and buy twisted teas. He then chugs them on the way back to the store. One day I was sitting at jersey mikes and saw him do this 4 times in a matter of 30 minutes. 4 twisted teas chugged in 30 minutes! Then today I see him again with mikes hard lemonade. They have to know they have an employee drinking on the job at this point. That might be why the place has gone down hill so bad. I for one will never step food in that establishment again. Their are too many better options out there to have to deal with this downward of a spiral “restaurant”.

The sushi tasted stale and terrible. The rice wasn't good in the hibachi. The ingredients are clearly cheap and the price is too much for what you get. Won't be returning.
