Really good food. But service is consistently slow at the hibachi tables. Want it fast, do carry out.

Order my meal with a group of people , they didn't cook it in the grill in front of me like it was supposed to be , my meal came from the back last , the vegetables wasn't cooked , the meat was lightly cooked , I didn't get fried rice like I was supposed to the rice was just white rice and I didn't get my soups or salad

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, a gem I discovered while driving west on Woodruff, nestled within a plaza. The restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with tasteful seating and decor, creating a welcoming environment right from the start.Despite it being a bustling evening, the service was impressively consistent and attentive, a testament to the staff's dedication. Culinary-wise, Sakura Japanese Steakhouse did not disappoint. I would rate the food a solid 9 out of 10. The spicy salmon roll, a highlight of my meal, was expertly crafted, featuring an ideal balance of flavors and textures. Although it didn't use whole fish salmon, the addition of crunch on the exterior rather than mashed inside was a delightful touch. The hibachi, another dish we savored, lived up to expectations, offering a flavorful and memorable experience. Our appetizers and main courses were thoroughly enjoyable, reflecting the clean and well-managed state of the establishment. Despite the restaurant's popularity leading to somewhat tight parking conditions, this minor inconvenience did not detract from the overall positive dining experience.I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, a venue that has certainly earned its place on my list of favorites.

Had hibachi booked for two at 7:30pm. While waiting in the lobby, a group left infuriated about the waiting time, first red flag. We are finally led to our table directly under an air vent pumping cold air in 40 degree weather. We waited for 15 minutes for someone to come and get our drink order, didn’t happen. I went to the lobby to find someone to order drinks and the bartender, who was having dinner, offer to help find our waitress. After another 5 minutes, someone finally comes and takes the order. I took the opportunity to ask her if the chef was going to start soon. She said that the chef needed to finish the previous table. Only one chef working for five hibachis. We ended up leaving and going to bonefish grill. We will not come back to Sakura even when it’s only 5 minutes from our house. Not worth the drive.

The hibachi food is delicious. Large portions. A fun show to watch the food being prepared. Cocktails tasty as well. I suspect they are severely understaffed. We had a 5:30 pm reservation, were seated as 6:00pm, and our drinks arrived about 6:20pm. Once the dinner process got started, around 6:30, things went quickly. We will return.

Besides, it being way too cool and uncomfortable. Due to a continuous cool breeze, everything was great.

Hibachi flair was unimpressive. Food was fine. Fried tofu app was great, chicken skewers app were quite dry. Very nice server.

We had hibachi steak. The pieces were so big and the steak was so tuff and cold. I couldn't eat it. The restaurant itself was so cold inside I never took off my down coat. I'll never go back.

Attempted to call multiple times the day before a Birthday dinner to make a reservation - the phone would not go through. Kept saying “voicemail not set up”.Showed up with my party of 6. Was told it would be a 30 minute to an hour wait due to reservations. Said okay & sat down. 45 minutes later, they say it will be another 30+ minutes to be seated due to reservations. So I went online and made a reservation for my party of 6 for 7:00 (30 minutes later). The hostess says “that’s not the way it works, you can’t make a last minute reservation”, but I got a confirmation text from them saying the reservation had been set. Hostess is refusing to honor the reservation or to seat us - and we’ve been waiting for an hour. This has been a go-to spot for great sushi and Japanese hibachi for me and my kids. After tonight, will not be spending any more money here.Insanely disappointed in the service for long-time customers. Hostess is super rude.

I had the hibachi steak. The steak was very tough and in really big pieces. The rice and vegetables were awesome.
