Tamarindo Latin Cuisine

The food was delicious! However, when we got to the restaurant there wasn't anyone to greet us, we waited about 10 minutes for someone to show up and a couple more minutes to be seated. The host and waitress were both very kind but the wait wasn't the best specially since we had a hungry and soon to be sleepy toddler. The food was great, but again took forever to be served

One Star – Extremely Disappointed I made a reservation in advance, expecting a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't even open at the time of our reservation. We arrived on time, only to find the doors locked and no staff in sight. There was no communication, no signage, and no explanation for the delay. We waited for over 20 minutes before giving up and leaving. This kind of lack of professionalism and disregard for customers' time is unacceptable. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values reliability and basic customer service

The tastiest food l've had up here yet! I'm part Cuban, and my family moved here from Florida 2 1/2 years ago. We were spoiled, finding Cuban food all around the Tampa Bay area. We love everything about South Carolina but missed our Cuban restaurants--until we discovered this gem in Simpsonville! I know it's not Cuban food, but it sure reminds me of my Cuban roots with flavors that just burst in every bite. If you're craving a new taste of Latin cuisine, this place is a must!

Beautiful spot to have lunch or dinner. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Price point is decent considering the presentation and flavor of the food. I ordered mofongo bc I was really craving it but it definitely feel short - it was very dry & hard. they should put a little extra sauce on the side to help moisten it. Service was a little slow but everyone was very friendly. I’ll be back at some point but will order something else!

I had a great experience having lunch here. Our server, Elijah, was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The atmosphere inside and out were great. We tried a few apps and they were just okay, but I’d still go back for the cocktails and the vibes.

Food is alright, drinks are amazing. But it must be poorly run because I’ve been a few times when they were closed during normal business hours when google says they’re open, and there was no note on the door or any kind of explanation. I’ve given up trying to go on a lunch break when it will waste my time.

The food is amazing but the service is terrible. Whatever you do don’t order from here on DoorDash. I waited over an hour for my food just for them to cancel my order. Go to white horse rd and you’ll find the same quality food at lower pricing and better service!

Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent! My neicey birthday and we arrived late they were closing and still accommodating to a party of 9 people. All the food fresh and delicious. We will be attending again. The owners are so welcoming and friendly! Definitely a place to visit and experience

Stopped in Tamarindo for drinks and appetizers. Great music and ambience. We had Tamarindo mojitos and Leyenda neat. Tostochimis with chicken and green plantains. Great selection of Dominican Rums.

Very inviting and friendly staff. Drinks and food were amazing. Ambience outstanding we definitely will be back. 

Not worthy, I mean pretty place, food was ok, drinks ok, prices ridiculously high. Ill never return. Overrated.

Wife and I went for Valentine's Day. They probably serve the best roasted chicken I ever ate at a restaurant. All the sides from the beans and salad were tasty. Great restaurant.

02/15/2025 I back after 2 years to have dinner and they left me waiting 25 minutes, no waitress no nothing we leave. Worse costumer service.

We here since 5, outmost 7:03 get in LoL ...party of 9. . . .

My husband made a reservation for us on Valentine’s Day and they were so understaffed. We ended up leaving because we were standing for 45 minutes by the door with multiple people who were there before us. We may come back again on a less busy holiday. I just don’t get the point of making a reservation at that point.
