I wish I could rate their food. We walked in was told we could sit anywhere at all. The waitresses were arguing over who was going to service us. Mind you there are only a hand full of customers in the restaurant. After about 30 minutes we ended up walking out with no service at all. This was our first night in town and unfortunately we will not return for the week we are here....

Went in, was told we could seat ourselves. The restaurant was empty, and the 3 waitresses were arguing in front of us on who had to take the table. Finally a waitress took our drink order, 2 waters and 2 sweet teas. After 15 minutes we got only 2 teas and no water. After 30 minutes, we finally walked out.

They have the best club sandwich ever! Service was very friendly, but a little slow. Beautiful view of the lake too.

We were in town for a long weekend and stopped in on a Thursday night just I time for bingo and trivia!! So much fun! They have prizes for each round and also had door prizes that night. We actually won trivia and a round of bingo! Prizes were cute snowman decorations, and the second one was a mug full of chocolate! They couple running the games were sweet and made it fun for everyone. Food was good with plenty of choices. We had the club sandwich and fried mushrooms. Portions are generous, and prices are decent. They have a full bar and have fun Goat drinks to pick from ( when goats fly, goat nuts, etc) that all offer something different. Definitely a fun place, glad we checked it out. We would probably pop back in if we were in the area. I forgot to take pics of the food

Nice place on the water with an ourdoor area that looks like it must be fun in the evenings. Our first trip was 5 years ago and finally we are back. Living in Manning part time it is tough to find places we want to try more than once. We went with another couple and ordered, The Philly Cheese Steak, The Goat Island Sandwich, The Hamburg steak and the fried flounder sandwich. The fish was great and the french fries are the perfect consistency. The Hamburg steak was smothered in gravy and delicious. The Philly Steak was good. The onion rings were tasty. The only complaint was the Goat Island sandwich. This baby is listed as having Prime rib as one of the meats, well tonight it was two very thin slices of what seem like deli roast beef. So 3 out of 4 happy customers is pretty good. We would come back and I wish we had stayed for Trivia and Bingo Thursdays. Next time. Our waitstaff was very friendly and welcoming.

If it wasn't for the saltiest fried pickles we've ever seen (we couldn't even finish them), I would bump up the rating on their food. Some of the other fried foods were quite salty, too, but edible. If I went back, I'd probably just get a burger.

I have eaten here and it’s been great, came back and the steaks were terrible, tonight we decided to give it another go and I was not at all happy with this place! They had no catfish, no chicken at all, no baked potatoes oh wait I had to tell the server the people behind me had a bake potato! Did I tell you we got there at 6:15. And got are food at 7:30

Jimmy Buffet style ambiance on Goat Island! We enjoyed delicious Sunday grilling on beautiful Lake Marion. Goat Island restaurant's main chef was serving up delicious hot dogs, hamburgers and juicy ribs with the best dirty rice I have ever eaten. My friend and I were treated to a delightful casual Sunday dinner along with good vibe music at the outdoor bar area and friendly conversation with the staff and Ms. Tammy. This is a must for locals and visitors alike.

This is a Jimmy Buffet style restaurant on Lake Marion. My friend and I heard about Goat Island Restaurant's Sunday BBQ on the lake. We enjoyed music, a delightful conversation with the owner and proprietor and most importantly the best BBQ ribs, hot dogs and burgers. I have eaten there often and always find the staff to be friendly and the food to be exactly what you expect in a traditional southern neighborhood on the lake. No fuss, no muss, just good, down-home cooking with a Jimmy Buffet vibe!
