My family and I stopped at The Lake House during a road trip. We randomly picked it on Google Maps. It is a cute, off the beaten path restaurant for someone who doesn’t live in the area or is part of the RV culture.
We were seated right away and there was a sign at the greeters station indicating reservations were recommended. Our waitress was nice but not friendly.
We had hush puppy appetizers which came out immediately and were good. Dinner was a burger and fries, fried pork chops with baked potato and collard greens, steak and fish with baked potato and mac and cheese.
Overall the food was edible but not worth the price. The skin of the baked potato tasked like the smell of the front store area.

Very disappointing. We've been coming here a couple of times every year for 6 or 7 years. The food has almost always been very good but tonight was extremely disappointing. We got the mahi mahi special. The mahi mahi was absolutely tasteless and the sides were cold. I had to send mine back to be heated. The garlic mashed potatoes were void of garlic. Our waitress was new but did her best. I let her know how disappointed we were and asked her to inform management. Not sure that she will. Was definitely not a $100 meal!

Ordered soup and mashed potatoes (I'm a recovered oral cancer patient). Waitress joked about me ordering light... Everyone at our table got their food and all I got was soup, no potatoes that I intended to add to my soup. Waitress never retured to ck if we were served properly. Rest of my table was almost done before another employee came to ck on us. I sent back the soup and asked for the ck for my beer. They have great bottle beer !!
