We ate here this past Saturday night, 4/20/24. Kelly was our waitress and she did super. The Lake House is an extremely popular restaurant on a Saturday night. We have eaten here before and typically know what to expect. The seating time was approx. an hour as we were told. The food wait time was over an hour which was surprising. Our table had a seafood platter, prime rib, and two steaks. All were great and Kelly did a great job.

Ate there 2 times during our stay at Palmetto Shores. Staff was great but the food was warm, not hot. Had chicken quesadillas and "crunched" into the chicken. $15 for them was kinda pricey anyway and after letting the waitress know, she apologized and offered no discount. Even after eating less than 1/2. Would go again but there aren't too many options in this area....

Perhaps the eatery was just having a bad night. Our two meals were fried to death, but still managed to arrive with little warmth. One of my side dishes wasn’t delivered until the end of the meal. Our waitress apologized which was commendable. No offer to reduce our bill. Worst food we have had on this vacation. The nice view isn’t enough to recommend this establishment.

Ok so I'm really torn here. The food is very good, the service is excellent. The cats are not. I'm a cat person, that being said, my daughter was attacked during dinner and had both legs bleeding. The manager came out and said there was nothing she could do. Offered my daughter a drink. She didn't get to eat her meal. I spend over $220 on our meal and I feel they could have at minimum given her credit for the salad she ordered or her drink. We felt rushed because of course my daughter was hurting and aggravated. I DO NOT SUGGEST EATING OUTSIDE. The time before our last visit a cat literally jumped on our table and startled us then ran away. They are everywhere and begging for food. A restaurant is just not a place for pets to roam freely. They should be removed for safety reasons. Not all have been vaccinated as some were dropped off. So you just don't know what to expect. Love the scenery, love the location next to palmetto shores resort, love the food and service. If we go back, we will dine inside for sure.

Cool place to stop for dinner. Stunning views. Super friendly service. Drinks and food were good, but the Kahlua Expresso cake was AMAZING. Will definitely stop again.

Parking: The entrance driveway is between the two campgrounds. Drive slow, and it is at the end, trust me.
The steaks are perfect, took the family and we had a great meal with great service. Plus a great veiw of the lake.

The only not good thing I can say about this place is there was an hour wait for a table, BUT well worth it!!! My family stayed at Palmetto Shores resort right next door so we was able to wait at our cabin until they notified us a table was ready so it worked out. The food, DELICIOUS, the staff was amazing and the location is right on Lake Marion with an excellent view. Will DEFINITELY come back again!!!
