First, our waitress was nice and did come back a couple of times to check on us. We were seated in the big room off to the right of the main area, next to the rest rooms, this is after we asked not to be seated at a small table in the center of the room. The room is loud and devoid of atmosphere. New menu seems great. I usually get the backyard burger but I think it was replaced with the BYO. The burger comes literally with meat and a bun. All the sides are extra so by the time you order the usual cheese, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, onion it is another $4. Bacon is $3. I ordered with cheese, pickles and onions. I got a small slice of cheese, 2 pickles and not a slice of onion but a couple of strands of onion on a stale dry over cooked burger. So disappointed. The concept of a BYO is good but for the price please be generous with the extras and let people know you need to ask for some kind of sauce or mayo. My husband ordered the hotdog which he said was good.

Had a smash burger, it was pretty good but felt a little pricey for what I got. The sidewinder fries are great though, super tasty and cooked great. The inside is kinda small and only a few screens it seems. Bartenders were very sweet and helpful

Prices have gone way up and they did away with a lot of favorites, hushpuppies, chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Miss the old cornerhouse

Updated review: I’m so pleased that they redid the menu recently. I ordered a BYO burger and it was pretty good. Felt like it was a good value with the sidewinder fries. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes.

My experience with the shrimp and grits at Corner House Restaurant was less than desired. While the shrimp tasted good, the portion of the grits was tiny. For the price, I think they should include more grits. Also, the noise level in the dining area is overwhelming. They need sound proofing or something.

Last evening, my wife and I went to the Corner House Restaurant with 10 other neighbors. We had made a reservation since we had a dozen people and they were all ready for us with menus and water at each seat. We were all excited to try out the new menu that was released the day before. We started with 3 Colossal Shrimp Cocktails for the table to share. Each martini glass had 4 HUGE shrimp with a very tasty and mildly spicy cocktail sauce. My wife and I shared the Smokehouse Platter and the 3 different meats and 2 sides was perfect for us. Another neighbor ordered it for himself and ended up bringing home some of it.The new Brisket Shepard's Pie was ordered by a couple people and they declared it a hit and cleaned their bowls. One woman ordered the Chargrilled Flank Steak and and found it delicious. She even offered some of it to her husband to finish. Among other things ordered were the Signature Corner House Burger and the BYO Grilled Chicken sandwich. All in all, we were all pleased with the new menu and will be back to try some of the other new items.

Service was wonderful. Our server Elba did a great job with our table of 12 and had no issues handing everyone their own separate check.

This was my 4th or 5th attempt at this restaurant. The service was very slow, didn’t seem busy. Had to ask if our drinks were on their way. All meals were good.
There was a server arranging the tables, dragging chairs & tables which was so incredibly loud, then she proceeded to roll silverware at a table, but first was wiping silverware and “dropping” the silverware into the holder which was SO LOUD in that room, very disruptive. Been in the restaurant business for years, this place needs a reset. 🙁

We had a fantastic meal at Corner House Restaurant in Summerville! Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband annihilated the catfish before I could even get a picture—that’s how good it was. The brisket chili was loaded with tender brisket, warm, comforting, and best of all (according to my husband) completely bean-free—a heated topic in our house! The smoked wings were perfectly done, and the she-crab soup was rich, soothing, and full of crab meat. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Summerville.
