This place is really great. It's in such an unusual spot (behind 2 hotels) but it works because it's kind of hidden which is great for when you're hungry.Menu is incredible, fantastic spread of options. Margaritas always on point. They have a small outside area for when the weather is good. Food comes out hot, quickly, and has flavor!Pricing is incredibly fair, Will continue to return time and time again.

I grew up in Southern California, exposed to authentic Mexican food. I moved to the midwest and finally settled in the south east. Always looking for good Mexican food. Well I found it tonight. El Patron Jr. Was amazing. All the sauces were obviously homemade, and the pico de gallo was the freshest and most delicious I have ever tasted. We ordered a large variety of dishes and none of us were less than astonished with the food. I do not drink myself, but one of us ordered a Margarita and sang it's praises. I cannot wait to be in this area again and have another meal at El Patron's in Summerville SC. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: There was a Vegetarian section on the menu however I did not read it thoroughly enough to share any more information.

Very mediocre. I ordered to go and while I waited I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks. It may have been the worst margarita I have ever had. I order steak street tacos and shredded enchiladas verde with a side of pico de gallo. I got enchiladas but definitely not verde. The best part of the meal with the salsa that came with the chips. The steak and rice were dry. The chicken had no flavor and I am not a fan of their red enchilada sauce. Oh and to top it off, when my check and food came, the waiter grabbed my staw and mixed the strawberry syrup that had settled at the bottom of my glass who does that? I gave them a two for the wait staff being attentive and nice while I waited. My bill came to $44 and I left a 20% tip. I don't regret it, I just know I won't be back.

I have a special place for eating at Mexican restaurants due to the fact that when you get to the table you're eating right away. Not long after sitting at your table, corn chips and salsa arrive. This particular is at a bottleneck area right off the interstate, but it's easy to get in and out of. The staff was very friendly and professional and made me feel appreciated for dining with them. The meal was plentiful and filling.
