this is my usual go to place when friends come to visit or for casual dining. This trip though was disappointing. All the dishes seemed over spiced. I ordered the butternut squash soup and all I could taste was cayenne pepper! I was deflated having had it previously last season. I could not eat it.n The grilled salmon also has been a sure bet , but again, heavy handed with the hot seasoning. My friend had the tarragon and crab soup and also said it seemed heavy handed with the spices. He did like the chicken marsala, with tagliatelle pasta also a favorite, but although advertised on the menu to have spinach in it, was hard to find
a great place for lunch.

excellent food and service.very friendly employees. Great choices for vegetarian. Portabella sandwich excellent.
Lived in Summerville for years and Five Loaves was 1 of our favorites. Was visiting 7/18/25 for lunch and was thoroughly disappointed. Hot Ham and Brie sandwich was disappointing bread was soggy and had a very off taste. The Eggplant Fritter salad was not enjoyable . The asparagus was like small green twigs and the Eggplant Fritters tasted like brown dough balls. Needless to say we will probably not return. In the restaurant business you have to be consistent and good. Neither of which Five Loaves was today. Over the years seems like a lot of places no longer take pride in serving good quality food, at reasonable prices with great service. Don’t know if it was an off day but not worth the trip.
Had my card information stollen from this place twice now. First time I thought was a fluke. Went again 6 months later and had the same exact thing happen to me. Never had my card information taken before and it has happened twice after eating here. Got a text alert from my bank due to suspected fraud activity and found out I nearly $2500 dollars worth of charges to online vendors to include concert tickets. Now have to deal with a canceled card and wait for a replacement. Have to set up all my auto pay and bill pay accounts. Lets hope I don't forget one and go past due on a bill. Will never eat here again, but if you do, be sure you only pay with cash!
This spot is in an old, restored home, just outside Main Street. I ordered the Cobb Salad with Avocado Dressing. It was one of the best salads I've ordered in a restaurant. The greens were crisp and fresh, and the dressing was superb. The Cocont cake was a treat, and fabulous. I was in town for business, but would absolutely go back if ever in Summerville again. It was delightful, indeed.

This Café was so so so beautiful. The service was fast, so polite, and very comforting. The place itself was so nostalgic and easy to the eyes, especially while eating. The food was so delicious and different from usual places to eat. From their sweet flavor profiles and mixes for their sandwiches. All the way down to amazing Mocktails (I had 4 of their peach/Raspberry mocktails from how delicious it was). I would come here again anytime. I don't really have any complaints, the service was better than any I have ever had. My server was Savannah W., and she had one of the sweetest and the most energetic personality I have ever had the pleasure talking to. I really appreciated the smiles everyone had, the amazing food made by the chef and the prices where absolutely reasonable with how lovely the food and atmosphere were. Even my husband is crippled after eating so much of the amazing food.
Vegetarian options: Wonderful vegan options for someone who doesn't fancy meats like me.
Dietary restrictions: They also include on everything, on what's Glutton Free and what's not. It has a very large menu of GF options.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a lovely wheel chair accessible area there.
