We had been there many times prior. The food was good. The staff was ok as well as the service. This time however something was not right about the rice. It was horrible and I had 2 other people try it as well. It took at least 20 minutes for my husband and my food to come out. Then the couple we were with waited another about 40 minutes. They told them to just give their money back and we could all leave. The young man working there was very nice and helpful but the older woman in the back was very rude. She tried to give the man his meal but still had nothing for the woman with us. The young man return their money.

This has been our go to place since they opened. We live quite some distance from them, and we drive past several places that could provide the same type of food. But why chance it, we know from experience the food is always great, selection fantastic and service excellent.

My wife and I have been coming to Keko's since we moved into the area in 2022. Until this most recent trip, the food has always been outstanding. Tonight, it wasn't even ok. My wife ordered the crispy honey chicken. The chicken was very chewy, and the sauce resembled a sweet and sour sauce instead of the honey sauce.
Two other couples ordered the sesame chicken, and General Tao chicken. The only difference was that one had sesame seeds. The sauces tasted the same, and to be honest, neither had much flavor. The fried rice with all of the dishes, along with the shrimp fried rice that was ordered was crunchy. The rice just didn't seem cooked all the way.
We would like to think that it was just an off night, and we should give them another chance. With that said, it was so bad and disappointing, that we are scared that this is their new norm.
Whatever changes that were made need to be scrapped and go back to the old way of doing things.
Disappointed because I came in with my husband and ordered shrimp habachi a shrimp egg roll and he ordered bonless ribs. Get home n no ribs... called and lady say oh I didn't hear ribs. SMH but we paid $22 for just habachi and egg roll... now I have to share.
A Sirius Epiphany
After being gone for 3 years and tasting their fresh well seasoned steak and shrimp I know I'm home. The hibachi is outstanding and it was the best sesame chicken I've ever had. So nice to be aware the food is good and you get a lot for your money here. Five fusion dinners were amazingly flavored, tastest Asian fusion anywhere in the lowcountry, especially the Summerville area. I look forward to telling my clients where to order the best Pad Thai ! Love their secret flairs to the favorite dishes. My daughters loves the beef and broccoli of Kekows Asian fusion! Cheers!!

I don’t understand the great reviews. Either I went there on an off night, people don’t know good Chinese food or the reviews are fake. I got the “Pad Thai”. It’s in quotes because, while I ordered Pad Thai, what I got had little resemblance to any I’ve ever had. It was noodles in a broth. It resembled something like Chicken noodle soup with peanuts. If you don’t know how to make a dish don’t have it on your menu.
My wife got the Mongolian beef, which was okay. But it should have been called Mongolian onion with a few pieces of beef.
The only reason I have it two stars instead of one is that the service was good. Based on the actual food though, I won’t be back.
