Dine with CAUTION: The food is phenomenal at Laura’s. My issue is not with the food, but with the hidden surcharge passed off as a convenience fee instead of gratuity as it actually is. First no where on the menu or website, or reservation process is it listed that you should expect a service charge at 4+ guests. I understand taking care of your people to make sure they are taken care of, however this charge should be clearly posted somewhere, other than a surprise at the end...
My mother and I came in for the first time today. Aiden was our waiter, she was beyond hospitable. Drinks were always refilled according, and each course was served with great timing with each delicious bite. The Caesar salad is insanely good, best I’ve ever tasted. Must be the real anchovies, chef’s kiss Perfect salt ratio for me. The table side mix of cheeses and fettuccine Alfredo was delicious but I would not have went just for this. The pasta was perfect. Probably the best Italian food in Summerville. The service is spectacular and above and beyond. We had the pizzas, meatballs and cheesecake. Even with a picky child we all enjoyed it.
