Absolutely my favorite restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely filet mignon dinner last night accompanied with sweet tea and water. We were a little to full to have dessert so we elected to take home two slices of cheesecake. Dinner was good but it also was expensive. $132.00 along with a $20.00 tip came to $152.00 for dinner. We didn't have any cocktails. So it's pricey but it was good. We were celebrating our 46th Wedding Anniversary.

It was our first time at Oscars. We made reservations for Valentine's Day. The hostess was so kind to honor our request for a booth. The ambiance and staff were outstanding. We were seated at our exact reservation time. We were early so actually enjoyed waiting in their perfectly dim (for ambiance)and comfortable waiting area. Their use of lighting is perfect. It's a beautiful restaurant. Our waiter was FANTASTIC. He's an Italian male, late 20's maybe, with a floral tie (we can't remember his name but please give him a thanks). The menu looked wonderful when we made reservations and we were unaware they would be providing a different/limited menu for Valentines. We brought our teenage son who didn't like any of the choices so had an appetizer on the fixed menu. We absolutely loved the Caesar salad that our waiter prepared for us. Seriously the best Caesar salad we've ever had. The house bread was fantastic! My husband enjoyed his short ribs, and my son enjoyed his calamari. I got the scallops. I was so disappointed as they were chewy and tasted poached. They weren't seared at all which really adds to the flavor scallops and cuts down on the rubbery mess. My mushroom risotto had hard, undercooked pieces in it. I didn't mention it to the waiter because everyone in the restaurant was working their tails off to provide a beautiful Valentines for everyone and we so enjoyed our evening. And I was so hungry I just ate them. But I was so bummed. I didn't send it back but they were not good at all. I've never had rubbery scallops and they are typically sautéed. It was disappointing as they were beautiful and huge!! We still enjoyed our first time there. I just don't recommend scallops.

This restaurant is absolutely delicious. The braised short ribs and mussels were outstanding, and the drinks were creative, unique concoctions. The staff was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. Housed in a charming old home, the restaurant features a beautiful back patio and garden that add to the ambiance. It’s well worth the drive to Summerville and an absolute must-stop.

Last minute added two more to my reservation. For these folks that was no problem. Everything was excellent.

This was my first visit to Oscar's. The service and food were impeccable! Went there for a birthday lunch ... We were not disappointed!!! I had the sea bass, rice and veggies. It was out of this world! My friend had the fried shrimp, onion rings and coleslaw. She said they were incredible. For dessert, she had crème brûlée and I had Bananas Pscqr (banana's Foster with incredible homemade vanilla ice cream). I can't wait to go back!!!

Service, atmosphere, and food quality were outstanding. Only reason 4 stars for food given was as a result of the kitchen being out several items prior to ordering to include prime rib, oysters, and dessert items. Overall great experience and great service. Will definitely visit again....

Oscars has been our special occassion spot for quite a number of years, the food is always excellent and the Service is lovely we have never in 12 years had bad service or a bad meal at Oscars and while we have tried other places for our special occassions, we always return because it's perfect for our budget and taste.

We normally choose Oscar's whenever we want a great meal, and we've been wanting to try their Thanksgiving dinner for a couple of years. This year we finally went as a table of four, but unfortunately the holiday buffet did not live up to the Oscar's quality we're used to. There weren't any kid-friendly options, so my son ended up only having mashed potatoes. Several buffet items were disappointing—the mac and cheese was extremely dry (usually one of my favorites), and the prime rib was overcooked, even though our reservation was at 12:00 when everything should be fresh. The staff serving the buffet weren't rude, but they also weren't friendly, which didn't help the experience. Our server at the table was wonderful, and we truly appreciate his service. While we won't return for another holiday buffet, we will absolutely be back for the regular menu because the food is normally excellent. This particular experience just missed the mark for us.

Everything about the experience was phenomenal. Our waitress, Tiffany, was professional, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot, delicious, and came out faster than we expected. And the hostess was kind when we arrived and thanked us for coming when we were leaving. It was worth the drive and the cost. I'm adding this restaurant to my favorite list.

Heard great things about Oscars. We were seated promptly on arrival and the hostess was very pleasant. The food was good although they forgot to put the apricot salsa on the mahi. The other 3 meals were done nicely. Good value for the money. Our server had to be new as there were lots of errors including asking if we wanted boxes shortly after our meals were served and incorrect beverage orders. The noise level was quite high, probably as it was packed on a Friday night. Will probably come back at some point in the future to give it another try. Hoping it was just an ‘off night' for the restaurant. We really wanted to love it there.

I have eaten at Oscar's many times over several years. It was always a friendly place with good lowcountry food at a reasonable price. How things have changed. The food was barely edible. The rice was cold on one plate, the risotto was like glue on another, the stuffed ship were almost burnt, the fried shrimp was soggy, . . . The overall menu looked like a decision was made to go upscale rather than just serve good food. The effort was not a success. I won't be back. It's a shame. P. S. I was sick the next day.

Great food. Great service. Always a great experience. We had a celebration and were happy that we were at Oscars to enjoy together and not feel rushed. Fried green tomatoes are outstanding, the meals were all great, and the cocktails were excellent.
