It's been a long time since I visited Pagoda in Summerville. I can't even say why because this place has always been and still is delicious. I am pretty sure all in the know understands they have the best Chinese chicken wings around! Maybe it's just location that keeps me from visiting this place as much as I would like. Years ago it was further up Trolly Road in a different building and I loved it. I had the main character for most Chinese spots (in my opinion) Pork fried rice (extra egg) and 4pc chicken wing. Nothing special but, cheap and delicious! Don't be like me and forget about this place, it's worth it. I will say they only do takeout and judging by the amount of people going in and out as I waited.... a lot of people support them. I was happy to see that.

Nearly 40yrs I've been getting my Chinese food from Pagoda. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Eggrolls(crunchy)/teriyaki chicken(super flavor and jucy), beef pepper steak,(lots of steak) general tso's!(spicy/sweet)! Only place for the BEST Chinese!!

Pagoda is a solid spot if you’re in the mood for Asian cuisine. The food is flavorful, portions are generous, and the service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, though no dine in only takeout. Some dishes could use a little more balance in seasoning, but overall it’s a satisfying experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I’ve been going to Pagoda ever since I was in elementary school. And the original owner Queenie was the sweetest and the best!! So when my parent we went to Summerville, I had to have her bring me some to Georgia. I’ve always brought Pagoda back with me to Georgia, and it always a delightful treat! Great expectations of the gingery sticky wings, pork filled egg rolls, and the shrimp fried rice turned into a great disappointment, sad to say… The shrimp is the rice was mushy, the egg rolls were dried, and the wings were tough. The quality of food and taste didn’t meet the standards of the original owner. The food didn’t have the same life, the same energy of Queenie. No passion, and you could test it. Pagoda is a Summerville staple! The restaurant needs new owners that care about the taste and quality of the original owner. Bring Pagoda back to life or step aside.

Food would be fine for a Chinese buffet but not for takeout. General Tso’s chicken is about 90% breading and the rest is little shreds of chicken scrap. Fried rice is decent, at least not just yellow rice. Food is warm enough that it will melt the styrofoam container, which is not great for flavor.

I remember pagodas when I was a teenager it used to be in the parking lot in front of where Harris teeter is on bacon’s bridge rd the food was excellent today if someone wanted to buy me lunch there I would tell them to keep their money the rice is so bad now egg rolls used to be the best but now they’re bland with no flavor only thing that’s eatable are the marinated chicken wings don’t waste your money eat somewhere else
