I showed up at the Panera Bread drive-thru at 8:45 PM, well before their 9:00 PM closing time, only to be met with an automated voice saying they were closed. I drove out of my way specifically to come here, and it was a complete waste of time. If you’re going to close early, update your hours. Very disappointing.
I have been here several times. I always order the tunafish sandwich And this particular Panera you only get like a teaspoon or two of the tunafish on your bread. When it’s made right it’s delicious but I have to peel off half of the sandwich because there’s nothing but bread and onion at this location.
Honestly I love Panera and the food itself. But the EMPLOYEES ARE THE WORST. Why would you have someone working the drive through if they aren’t friendly and just have an attitude as soon as you pull up to give them your order. “Welcome to Panera” said in a tone that screams “you’re bothering me for even ordering food right now”. So sorry to bother you for you to do your actual job? 9 out of 10 times the person taking my order is rude. There was only one time the lady was nice. I’m just so done with these people and their rude ass attitudes. Get some better employees. I really don’t get the point of hiring people for a role they aren’t qualified for. They probably lie in interviews and seem all friendly and sweet when the manager is around but from an actual customer experience, when there are no eyes on them, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
This Panera Bread on Dorchester Rd is always a solid choice for lunch.
The sandwiches are fresh and full of flavor — I especially like how the bread is warm and the ingredients taste really clean. The salads are also great — fresh, nicely portioned, and not overly dressed.
The place is clean, service is friendly, and the food comes out pretty fast even when they’re busy. It’s a nice spot to grab something that feels a bit healthier without giving up taste. Definitely one of my regular stops in Summerville
I recently stopped by Panera Bread and went with the “Pick Two” combo. I had the Mac and Cheese paired with the Broccoli Cheddar Soup, and added a Ciabatta Cheese Steak sandwich but I switched it up by getting it on a French baguette.
Let me tell you, the comfort food vibes were strong.
The Mac and Cheese was creamy, rich, and hit the spot. It’s always been a reliable choice at Panera smooth cheese sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and that signature sharp cheddar flavor. It didn’t disappoint.
The Broccoli Cheddar Soup is a classic for a reason. It was thick, flavorful, and warm with just the right amount of broccoli and carrot in every spoonful. Together with the Mac and Cheese, it made for a cozy, hearty meal.
Now, the Ciabatta Cheese Steak on a French baguette was the real surprise. Swapping the bread gave it a nice crunch and texture contrast, and the steak was tender and juicy. The melted cheese and grilled onions brought it all together. Honestly, it might be my new go-to sandwich order.
Overall, Panera delivered. It was warm, filling, and flavorful the kind of meal that makes you feel like you treated yourself without going overboard. Solid 9/10.
The food was good! The atmosphere was quiet, so it was easy to talk.
whew! I never make reviews for large franchises however, listen to the reviews! The food at this particular location is disgusting. Had the new smokehouse sandwich and it was on the wrong bread with about one sliver of chicken. Thebrovolli cheddar soup was basically boiled water with a little bit of cheese. Terrible!

Incorrect order, which would be no prob except for the nasty attitude. Food was a mess; sloppy and falling off the plates. Not recommended.

The prices are expensive for microwaved textured food. Each time I've been here it takes at least 5 to 10 minutes minimum to recieve my food. The service is not great by any means. If you have some extra time, and don't mind the texture and quality of the food, then you'll probably like it. It's not for me though. Seems like the prices are worse than ever now.

My experience at Panera Bread was disappointing due to the behavior of one of the weird staff members. The employee with blonde hair was not welcoming and seemed indifferent. She stare too much. I stood there for about 3 minutes before she acknowledged me, and her attitude was unprofessional. This kind of service does not reflect well on the company.
Oh yeah, that sandwich was terrible. Took one bite and had to toss it ?. The girl who made it seemed to have a bad attitude, and it showed in the sandwich. Like just go home

Unfortunately all the tables were dirty. Waited a long time to get my.
I use the chaos and put my phone number for them to call me when my order was ready.
After almost 10 minutes they said they had called for me several times but not the phone number.
Very disappointed

Sadly, the quantity and quality of the food no longer justify the prices. I paid almost $40 today for a latte that tasted like just milk and sugar and 2 sandwiches that were both maybe 6 inches long, with nearly no toppings on either. Each sandwich was $7. Outrageous and pure robbery. I can imagine maybe 1 tbsp of coffee went into my 16oz drink (to save on money for them, of course), and the sizes of the sandwiches and topping quality have been greatly reduced also to cut costs, while simultaneously raising prices for the customer. At first when I received my food the manager was forcedly friendly but when I came back 5 minutes later because my order was not made correctly, I did not receive any apology and she acted as if this is a daily occurrence. I didn’t even order anything customized, just items right off their menu. I hope they can get better staff and find other ways to cut costs because they used to be better than this.
