Smallcakes Windmill Station Summerville, SC: A Cupcakery and Creamery

I’m giving this place 1 stars because when I made an order to pick up for my best friend birthday , I waited there for so long that I just sat in the car until the line went down and the lady could get to me. I ask my mom is that the only girl in there ? She said yes no one else come out. This place needs more people.. only one staff on each shift is ridiculous ! The ladies need help especially during summer and at night

My wife called to order some cupcakes for my son’s birthday party, the lady there answered the phone and told my wife to hold on to check pricing. The lady put the phone down and started helping other customers as we could hear everything, she helped about 4 customers while leaving my wife on phone and never talked back to my wife so we just hung up and ordered else where. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional!

Loved the cupcake! It was delicious! And the staff was kind! It would have been 5 stars if they had ice cream like is stated in their name with "cupcake and creamery" ...the door says ice cream is temporarily not available but they haven't had for 4 months (since December of 2022) because of a freezer not working. I also think if you're going to have cupcakes that selling milk for little ones would be a wonderful addition. It was still a great place but could use some slight adjustments to make sure customers get what the expect from a sweetshop.

The cupcakes here are to die for. I won't always go out of my way to write positive feedback (I should), but this bakery deserves the recognition. We got the oreo and red velvet cupcakes. The oreo is the best cupcake I have ever tasted. The red velvet is also fantastic.We will be back!!

Walked in for a birthday cupcake. I picked out a wedding cake And a lemon drop cupcake . I walked to the car sat down and opened The box .took a big bite of lemon drop and there was a hair about four inches long in my cupcake . Walked back in and told the girl at the counter. She grabbed the hair out of my hand and did not even say I'm sorry. Wear Hair nets people!!

Worst cupcakes. I’ve been a few times. They are basic and nothing special. They taste old and almost freezer burnt even though I don’t think they are ever in a freezer. Maybe they sit out too long. Lemon has barely a lemon taste. The chocolate has been dry every time. I’ve had amazing cupcakes for the same price. I don’t know how this stays in business except maybe a lot of people have never had an amazing cupcake or it’s just convenient. Publix is convenient also and their vanilla buttercream would win over any of these. (Except the a wedding Cake, that one was delightful)

The price was reasonable for the size of the cupcakes. First time my boyfriend and I went we got a red velvet and a double chocolate. Wooooo let me tell you how delicious they were! The bread was so moist and full of flavor! The icing was thick and sweet. Threw the diet away I’m going back!!! Lol

They were out of at least five flavors when we came in. The cupcakes were ok at best. Honestly it reminded me of the box mixes and tub icing you would buy at the store. Some of the cupcakes we got were dry, and the icing hard like it had been sitting out for too long. At 4.50 a cupcake, I would expect better. Not worth it at all.

The wedding cake cupcake here is delicious! I love this place and the young woman who works there is amazing.

Very upset with my 2 cupcakes today. They were very dry. And they are not usually this hard. Bad experience today . I am a once a week customer and I think now after those horrible cupcakes will be taking a break from going there

Everything was fresh and delicious. My girls and I enjoyed ice cream and cupcakes!

The lady said there weren’t any medium or large cups available so she offered a “pint” which was their clear plastic cup and she didn’t even fill to the top (only 3/4 of the way up). The craziest part was that two of those pints were $22 total - WAY too expensive being that the ice cream wasn’t even that great.

My wife and I decided to stop in, it was my first time going here but my wife has multiple times with the kids; it was pretty tasty.First off - The employee at the counter was wonderful, her smile and cheerful attitude could light up a room.There were a lot of choices so it was hard to decide what I wanted to try…clearly by the picture….The caramel crunch - vanilla cake was great, the icing is actually caramel. I thought it was going to be a caramel flavored icing - so that was very thick, wasn’t the biggest fan of that.I tried my wife’s “hostess” sorry, don’t know what the name is, cupcake. That was fantastic!Can’t wait to try another one and visit again.

The cupcakes and ice cream are good. My complaint is that you wait until the day of and/or right before you’re supposed to open before announcing that you are closed for the day. If you know you are going to be closed, more notice for your customers would be appreciated so they don’t make an unnecessary trip.

Smallcakes Windmill Station on 2nd Avenue in. Summerville is a great place to go for delicious cupcakes, ice cream, and cookies. I really like everything that they have to offer here and everything is very tasty. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have a good experience.
