Three stars, only because the macarons were delicious as usual. I’ll just say I’m glad the brownie was free, it was dry and tasteless, comparable to a hospital brownie, very disappointed.
This country is very divisive. It feels like at times our world is beginning to crack open and every nightmare is entering reality. Every week lately has felt heavy and dense. My first time visiting. I bought the red velvet cake in a cup from Swank Desserts, and it was absolutely delicious. You could taste the butter and milk—proof that the cake was made correctly and with care. This is exactly how a true Southern red velvet cake should taste, without being overly chocolatey. It was perfectly moist and honestly reminded me of something my grandma would make. Comforting, rich, and made with love.
