We called ahead for a party of 11, only a few minutes before we arrived. When we walked in, we were immediately seated and Mikaylia, our waitress, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and recommended some delicious dishes that we loved. The Greater St James AMEC missionaries would highly recommend Sweetwater 123!!!! Thank you Mikaylia!!!!
Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Enjoyed a great dinner at the bar. I highly recommend asking for their recommendations and order their signature dessert!!!
This was my second time here and this time it was a bit of an unusual experience. I will preface by saying my server, Rachel was nice and gave substantial service so I’m not giving a low rating, just an honest one.
We came with my mother in law and husband and quickly greeted by someone who wasn’t our server. It seemed to have taken a bit longer to be greeted by our actual server. When she did come, I notified our server that my husband has celiac and what GF options they had and specifically the sides they offered. She responded “I know we have a Vegan bowl…” and didn’t seem confident on what options they had but she said she would go ask the kitchen.
It was a little concerning for me because it was clear that she didn’t quite know what Gluten free or celiac meant. Working in food and beverage I think it’s vital to train your staff to know the major allergies and what they are for food safety purposes.
Mind you, since the moment we came in I noticed a tall gentleman in what looked like a chef coat kinda hanging around the bar and talking with other guests. However, I wasn’t sure who of what his role was but I did not see her ask him.
When she returned she said that they said the only thing they think is GF is the side salad.
So without taking any risks, my husband decided to get just bacon and eggs to be safe. I got a half order of French toast with my eggs and meat plate, and my mother in law enjoyed her French toast. It was a very standard and straightforward meal. Everything tasted good for the most part. Just sucked that my husband didn’t eat very much.
When Rachel came back I asked her “is that the chef right there?” I’m referring to the tall guy with the grey chef coat. She said “yes, he kinda does a little of everything around here." In my head I'm wondering, why she didn’t think to ask him about the GF options if he’s the head chef. Or that he may not even know what being celiac actually means.
So I wouldn’t say we had a bad experience, but with my husband being celiac and going to places where wait staff aren’t trained properly on food allergies can be off putting. They should know what GF is, no wheat and flour. Give your staff some options or maybe even a cheat sheet of what they could present to guests when they have allergies. Just a suggestion coming from someone who currently manages a restaurant because you could ruin someone’s experience or make them very sick.

Exceptional Dining Experience at SweetWater 123!
Being a small business owner in this wonderful town of Summerville I couldn’t go without writing a wonderful review for this small business we dined at this evening.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at SweetWater 123, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of chic decor and cozy vibes.
Our server, Nealy, was absolutely phenomenal. She greeted us with a radiant smile and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her genuine enthusiasm made the evening extra special.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish (Lemon caper salmon and the trout) was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was flawless.
Nealy’s exceptional service and the outstanding quality of the food make SweetWater 123 a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Came here for dinner one evening. As soon as we arrived it started pouring rain and I had my dog with me. They were nice enough to let us sit under the covered outdoor eating area that appears to usually be used for events instead of turning us away. Desert was ok. The sandwich I had was very good and flavorful for a seafood salad sandwich - it was definitely not bland. And the fried okra was so plentiful I had to take some home!
Vegetarian options: There's really not much in the way of vegetarian options unless you're going for brunch or just want sides.
Parking: Parking in their parking lot can be extremely limited as is street parking. However there is a parking garage nearby.

Got an eggwhite veggie omelet (with the full egg) and a mimosa. The mimosa did not disappoint and was very strong. The omelet lacked seasoning and was pretty unimpressive. Friendly staff and classy atmosphere.

After being seated 5 feet from the restrooms, we waited 10 minutes before my wife asked the hostess if we had a server. She responded "yes". Another 5 minutes goes by, and my wife is ready to leave when the bartender comes to our table after talking to the hostess. We had to fend for ourselves. All our "server" did was bring us food. No refills, no clearing the table. I had to go to the hostess two times for salt and pepper and walk to the bar to get another drink if I wanted. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. The shrimp and grits were extremely lacking in flavor. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and it was inedible due to how salty it was. These things, combined with sitting a few feet from the bathrooms, really let us down on our first and last visit. We heard good things and was excited to try it out, but we will not be back.

Started off badly and went from there. The hostess sat us and took drink order. I asked “What do you have in draft.” Then I saw what I wanted on the drink menu and said, “You have Blue Moon, I’ll have that on draft.” She nodded and off she went. Then the waitress came with bottled beer with a sad orange in it. I said I was supposed to get that on draft.” “We don’t have anything in draft. The hostess is underage and doesn’t know.” “Do you want a glass?” The term hostess implies that you are in charge of the evening and know overall how to host. The term “on draft” should have been explained. Then I ordered the pecan mango chicken. A small portion of chicken and a huge handful of greens. Small, lukewarm, and little hard pieces of something that threatened to break my teeth. Potato was also lukewarm. I’m leaving here and having to stop someplace else to eat. The portion was definitely disappointing.

The food took too long to come out. The burger I ordered was bland, side dish was bland, I had to get up and get extra utensils my self at my table. I had to ask a different waitress for more water. Then waitress came up and asked if I needed anything after I went and got what I wanted. Will definitely not come back again.
