Excellent food and service from the start. It was a Friday night and we all needed to catch up with each other. Our server was attentive but not pushy. Happy hour is a great deal and medium or large margarita comes with a tube shot of tequila. The salsa was delicious and fresh and everyone greatly enjoyed their meals. We will be back!

Restaurant is under new ownership. I met up with a large group of friends. Waitress was great...very patient with some in group asking about specific ingredients. Restaurant was clean. We were seated in the area next to the bar. I was surprised not a single person sat at the bar the entire time. I ordered chicken chimichangas. I was surprised when she asked if I wanted fried...aren't they always? Portions were perfect along with beans and guacamole salad. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. I also really liked chips and salsa. Salsa had great flavor and not too spicy hot. Menu is more extensive than other Mexican restaurants in the area.

The service was soso but food was great, atmosphere same as any other Mexican place . Quick in and
This is probably the best Mexican restaurant I've visited in Charleston so far.The place was decently busy, but we didn't have to wait to be seated. The tables were nice and clean, and we were brought fresh chips and salsa soon after sitting at the table. The menu is ready to navigate, as it is divided by specials, and then choice of protein. They offer a wide variety of (in my opinion at least) very authentic Mexican dishes. I thought I was going to miss out on good Mexican food after moving here from Vegas, but this place delivers.I had a combo plate which included a quesadilla and a burrito, as well as a side of beans. For an upcharge, I opted to have lengua with my quesadilla, and it was definitely worth it.They also have a decent drink menu, and I had their "Purple Gecko". It was really delicious, and not too heavy on the alcohol.I will definitely be coming back to this place.

We eat lunch here at least once a week. We've never had to wait long for our sever or food to arrive. And you can even earn rewards for a free lunch.

This used to be where La Carretta was, but the restaurant is under new management/ownership. There is a connection now with Señor Tequila. The food is excellent and so is the service. The inside decor hasn't really changed.

I've been twice in the last month, and I'm looking forward to coming back again! The food has been very good during both visits, and was pleasantly surprised that the beans and rice that come with most entrees have really good flavor (most other Mexican restaurants in the area are very bland in comparison). Both servers we have had were excellent, and can't wait to come back!
Yes this is the best Mexican Restaurant I have ever had. All of it. Everything was 5 stars. I’m so thankful I don’t have to drive far to have the tastiest Mexican food.

I had a vegetarian meal. I like their salsa and chips over some other local spots. My food came out quickly and was very hot.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section is limited, but with some creativity one may be able to create some additional options for themselves. My margarita was nice and came with an extra half shot of margarita in side a little vial so I could have chosen not drink it. Overall the food, and experience was great.
