My favorite is the lemon cake. They have the best cakes I've tasted so far. I love everything that I've tried. A big fan for years❤️😋

We are incredibly grateful to Baker’s Sweets for sponsoring our Induction Teacher meeting. Our first-year teachers absolutely loved the delicious cupcakes at our December session. They made the day feel extra special.

Thank you, Baker’s Sweets, for supporting our public school teachers and for always bringing such high-quality treats to our community. We truly appreciate your generosity!

There are no words for the bad service and the cold overpriced food, so instead I will just share a photo of my $12 “Bennie”(plus tax and tip)

Sumter is my favorite location for something sweet and coffee! Better than Starbucks and better made from scratch quality. It’s a lot more busy than Lake City location but more sweets to choose from. There are too many good things to mention on the menu but my favorites are Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp and Grits (their grits are AMAZING and so creamy!) and soup and sandwich.

We visited Baker Sweets in Sumter a few days ago, and I left feeling quite shocked and disappointed — I genuinely didn’t expect to feel ripped off at a place that otherwise seems so nice.

I ordered the Tuscany Chicken Sandwich menu, which is advertised at $15 with a side of fries. I asked our waitress if I could upgrade the included fries to the rosemary truffle fries, and she said yes — but she never mentioned what the “upgrade” would actually cost. I assumed it would be a small upcharge (maybe $1–2), since that’s what most restaurants do when you switch the included side for something else.

When the bill came, though, the sandwich was charged at $21, and I was told that “upgrading” actually means ordering a whole new portion of truffle fries for $6 extra, because they’re a larger size. That explanation only came after I questioned the bill.

So, I ended up being charged for the side that was already included (but not served) plus a full extra portion of fries.

To clarify:
– If I’m truly upgrading, then I should receive just the truffle fries, with a small upcharge on top of the menu price (and not pay for the included fries I didn’t get).
– But if Baker Sweets doesn’t offer upgrades and only allows ordering a separate portion, that’s fine too — as long as the server explains it clearly before confirming the order, and I still receive the original fries that come with the menu.

Unfortunately, neither of those things happened, and it felt misleading. I hope management reviews this and offers a correction or refund, because this experience left a sour note after what could have been an enjoyable lunch.

I know what home made cakes versus boxed cake mix and can frosting tastes like and let me tell you we are being tricked . The frosting is not home made none of it. You can taste the can frosting especially on the carrot cake . The cakes are not so great . I would actually look into another bakery . But just bakeries are going the cheaper route and doing boxed cake mixes and only adding 1 or 2 ingredients to make you think it’s hone made . Trust me save your money and buy your own boxed cake mix and bake it yourself at home because that’s what you are paying for any way.
