Overall, a great place to pick up some local BBQ quick and head home to eat and relax. Pros: Good food with healthy servings and a wonderful staff. My preference is the ribs and pulled pork. Enjoy the potato salad, slaw, and rice with hash for an extra tasty meal. Cons: The chicken just looked soggy. If you add sauce (told it was house BBQ but was a little spicy), prepare for some extra added vinegar. I understand this is the south, but a vinegar base does not mean that's all BBQ should taste like. Without sauce, it's excellent, though. The dining room is large and unimpressive, however perfectly functional. It's BBQ, not a high-end restaurant.
Just left there tryed the ribs in the car best ribs I've had since I've been here in Sumter you must try they pull right off the bone very good I will be back.

I know my opinion is not going to be popular, however the barbecue was a bit spicy and we had brought our granddaughter with us to eat. On the menu was corn dogs. We thought they meant corn dogs/hot dogs as they did not have any other children options. FYI, their corn dogs are just hush puppies. No hot dogs involved at all. It would be really nice if they had a child's menu as this is a family restaurant. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that will love this food, but those of us and children who don't like spicy food, even a little spicy will not be able to eat there.

The restaurant was clean and had very friendly staff, however I was disappointed in the food. Going to a BBQ-Hut I expect something to come off the grill. This was more like Oven-Hut as nothing seemed to be BBQ’d. Also everything was very under seasoned and covered in BBQ sauce. Not at all what I was expecting.
Portion sizes are large. The hash has a tomato based sauce not a mustard one. It is a bit sweet, mellow, with a little tang. Not too acidic or overpowering. Pulled pork is nice and tender. Hush puppies have a pleasant crunchy outer crust and a soft fluffy center. Chicken is well cooked not dry. The tomato based barbecue sauce on the chicken is sweet and savory.They bring your plate out to you, refill your glasses, and treat you politely.
