We came in with a big party for a coworkers goodbye, however, local friends who frequent the restaurant said the service was generally very slow, which was the case for us. Initially service was great, the waitress was very sweet and brought us our drinks quickly. She took our orders and everyone’s low country boil orders were out very quickly. All the appetizers ordered came out after the actual food. The waitress returned maybe twice after the food was served despite everyone...
On the plus side, we didn’t have to wait for a table at 6 o’clock on a Saturday night. The server, Lulu, was very sweet and very nice but repeated herself a lot. The clam chowder was blasé, the fried shrimp were pretty good, the fried oysters were not good at all but the french fries were excellent. Also, if you are looking for any kind of ambience, this is not the place to go. It had a cafeteria feel to it.
The food was great!!! I just had an issue with the waitress while paying for my food with my debit card. She kept hitting the tip button after I said no about 4 times like she was trying to force me to leave her a tip. I lefted her a cash tip but that was very UNPROFESSIONAL!!
