I've been eating Chinese food from the same restaurant for years and wanted to try a different spot. I really miss the Dragon that was in Sumter many years ago; that was the absolute best Chinese restaurant ever, but things change. Anyhow, people kept telling me about China House, so we had to give it a try. Wanting to keep it simple, we got the Chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. Maybe next time I'll try the chicken but wanted to keep it simple. I called in my order and was shocked when I was given the price. Three items for $30.00,..lol when I walked into the restaurant the first thing I did was picked up the menu and eventually saw that the prices had changed... it made sense now. Instead of the rice being $7.50 like it said online (the menus were old), it was $9.75, so mystery solved..lol. The rice was delicious; we tried saving some for the next day, but that didn't work. Everything was gone the same night. I love their yellow fried rice. Both the chicken and shrimp fried rice were fresh and delicious. The egg rolls were good, but the rice was spectacular. I made sure to include the updated menus just in case you call in and get shocked by the price lol! But I definitely recommend trying them out.

Usually enjoy their food but I just found a staple in my chicken, and they are giving me a hard time about having a refund. It was literally fried into the general Taos. Pulled it right out of my mouth, definitely cut me.

Worst service dude at the counter was so drunk/high couldn’t even count change and then charged the guy after me for another persons order it was terrible worst place in Sumter and that’s saying a lot!!!

I went to pick up an online order of wings and rice. When I received the plate, the wings were burned , and one had a black charred looking hole on it. So I asked the gentleman at the counter to replace the chicken because the chicken was burned. He turned to the Asian gentleman in the kitchen who was bagging the orders and told him what I asked. The Asian man looked in the container and said, "What, then said in a nasty manner, give her back her money, I don't have time for this. I had been a patron of this establishment for many years, but they lost customers that day myself, the person I was picking up for. That was very unpleasant and unprofessional!

While the service is fast and the food is hot, they are now ripping people off. If you use your debit card they are charging and extra 3.5% per transaction. I asked why and was told that the bank charges them that. I told him that is a lie that and this is pure Greed! Banks do not charge this per transaction for this restaurant to be charging each customer this fee. I will not be back. They are ripping off the community that keeps them in business.
