I am in Sumter because my house has no power and the city sewer is inoperative. This is thanks to Hurricane Helene. I was hungry and went to China Palace for lunch. Everyone here is really awesome and kind, Mr Albert is literally one of the kindest people around. The food is fantastic (the egg rolls are to die for) and it’s reasonably priced. It is by far my favorite chinese restaurant in town!
Kid-friendliness: They had some terribly uncontrolled and rambunctious children come in (as customers) and the staff was very patient and friendly…even when the kids started throwing their shoes at each other.

My family and I ate there for the first time 2 weeks ago. We've ate at different Chinese restaurants since moving to Sumter a few years ago and so far this place is number 1. We ordered shrimp fried rice with chicken wings, orange chicken with pork fried rice, egg roll, crab rangoon, chicken tenders. Great customer service and food was delicious. We will definitely be going back. Best in Sumter!!
