Food is always so good!!! Great choice for a fast good lunch!
Absolutely Amazing Breakfast Experience at Guignard Diner!
My husband and I recently had breakfast at Guignard Diner in Sumter, and I can't say enough good things about our experience! My husband is usually very hard to please when it comes to food — he’s always finding something to critique — but this time, he was completely happy with everything, and that’s saying a lot!
The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The star of the morning for us was their fried chicken — crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. My husband couldn't stop raving about it and said it was some of the best he’s ever had (and trust me, that’s a rare compliment coming from him!). Everything else we ordered was equally fantastic, from the fluffy biscuits to the hearty grits.
A huge shoutout to our wonderful server, Whitney, whose customer service was truly exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. It's rare these days to find someone who genuinely cares about the guests' experience, and Whitney absolutely nailed it.
Guignard Diner has definitely become one of our new favorite spots. If you’re in Sumter and looking for a cozy place with mouthwatering food and outstanding service, don’t miss it. We can’t wait to come back!
Better check price before ordering, very high for what you get
Food was great and service was fast and very friendly!!
The food was hit or miss: most of our entrees (french toast, biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, chicken divan) were excellent, but the sides were extremely subpar (cornbread, fries, mash, gravy). The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are extremely affordable.
Old fashion dinner, excellent prices! Food is great! Always get buscuits and gravy!
Love....
It is baffling that this place is still open with the waitstaff they have. Certain dishes at lunch are good but I simply will not go back because of the rude, loud and dramatic servers seemingly running the place. Ann, Mandy (not sure what the other one's name is) make it uncomfortable and I feel sorry for the others trying to work in that environment.
Visiting family and we decided to eat brunch at Guignards. Great southern hospitality and food!!
NOT 4.5 stars. Get there before 9:45 if you want biscuits. Prices are average. Ok place to eat but nothing extra. No Veteran Day discounts either.

The waitress in the is very friendly. They quickly get to seating and taking your order.
The employees that are cooking make your food flavorful. Not to salty. I enjoy the grits, 1 egg, sausage, and toast tray.
It has a warm, family-friendly environment. I have enjoyed it everytime I go.
I recommend you try this business.
Kid-friendliness: It's a place u can go with your kids. The people have respectable conversations that even kids can hear.
It's not a very large place, so I don't suggest letting your kids run around.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp out front. They have tables with pull out ? so u could fit a ♿️ to the table

I'll pick up breakfast here occasionally since it's about two blocks from my office. My order is always ready when I get there, it's always correct and it's always hot. Service with a smile and a friendly word at every visit. Can't ask for better than that!
Parking: There is ample parking, but it tends to fill up early during breakfast.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spaces at the entrance as well as ramp access into the building.

My brother Woody loved this place and the staff. I have eaten here with him several times when we would visit him. We always had great service and delicious meals prepared here. My brother passed away four years ago. The next time we visit the area we plan on stopping by for another great meal.
