Placed order at 12:21 . Walked in at 12:35 , wasn’t acknowledged AT ALL . Finally after waiting I was asked if my order was pick up , I said yes online order . Worker continued doing what he was doing , Asked if my online order was ready because I had to return to work , he mumbled something . Walked out at 12:45 with no food . Restaurant wasn’t busy AT ALL . 1 table seated with ppl who were finished eating .

I have gone to Kobe Japanese restaurant multiple times my 20+ years living in Sumter. Recently had my wedding reception there and the food, atmosphere and service were excellent. Everyone at the event thoroughly enjoyed their food. In fact 1 of our guests, who lives out of town requests we pick up food from the restaurant whenever we visit them out of town. I personally love their Hibachi.

Don't be fooled by the store front, it looks more like a shoe store than a restaurant. Once inside, it is a smallish, but clean hibachi kitchen. Our servers were really nice and attentive. The food was all prepared well and the prices are very reasonable.

Came here for a loved one's birthday on a Wednesday night and enjoyed ourselves. All the staff was very warm and welcoming, starting with the male host with the cool blonde and black loc hair. Our cook was excellent, and he even put on a great show when fixing our food. The food was so delicious and well seasoned. I was so stuffed, and my stomach was satisfied, to say the least. Thank you, Kobe, for a great experience!

I always have a great experience whenever I go to Kobe’s. They have been there for over 20 years and the service is always great. The lunch portion and the dinner portion are two different sizes so that’s the price difference. Give them a try whenever you are in town!
