But I noticed that all over Sumter while trying the sweet teas. The sauces were also bland or nasty. ( yum yum was to commercial idk it was missing something. Teriyaki was best

Almost didn't visit Mon Cafe today because of all the reviews saying that food portions were small. However, I decided to go and was highly pleased. Food portions way exceeded my expectations. I ordered the chicken, steak and shrimp bowl and needless to say, it was enough food for me to eat off of 3 times(for your average person, probably twice). Carmen was the lady who took our order and her customer service was beyond exceptional. She does her job absolutely well and goes above and beyond to explain the menu, give the ins and outs about their reward program and suggest add ons and sauces. She will put a smile on your face. My wife and I were overly pleased with her customer service skills. Back to the food. It was delicious and the portion size,once again was great. Give this place a try if you are in the Sumter area. They earned their five stars. I will definitely be going again. Love this place.

I’m usually a big fan and have always recommended to friends however this time I was very disappointed with the California Roll and Spring rolls . The quality of ingredients and the quantity of ingredients have diminished considerably since my last visit about a month ago. I understand food prices have gone up but please don’t lower the quality of your ingredients to compensate! Your long time patrons will still come for the food they fell in love with!!

I tried the hibachi with shrimp and chicken and it hit the spot. The price was decent and the sitdown restaurant feel is done better than all of the similar style establishments Ive visited, whilst maintaining fast food speed.

It is not as good as it used to be . I understand price increase but I certainly don't understand adding an inflation fee. Unbelievable! Not going back..
With increase of prices and decrease in quality, I'm a bit disappointed. I used to come here a lot years ago, and I enjoyed the relatively inexpensive, delicious meals, but this place is sort of a shadow of its former self, I think... It's just not good anymore, much less for the price.I got Beef + Shrimp meal with fried rice and veggies, two spring rolls, Cali roll, and a drink, and it cost me about $43 with a $6 tip for the workers. I thought it was a little expensive, but figured I'd enjoy the meal regardless. The beef had this grainy texture and was super tough, the rice for the Cali roll felt like it sat out, and the shrimp tasted like it sat in seawater after being cooked. The to-go box was also super watery. I couldn't finish it...I don't blame the cooks or the workers. I think they do a wonderful job; they're professional, courteous, and super nice, but it seems like ownership has opted for much cheaper ingredients, while increasing prices to exorbitant amounts...I'm sorry, but Mon Cafe is a shadow of its former self... And I'm ashamed to say that, because it used to be one of my favorite places to go.

I ordered a jr rice bowl with shrimp, half the rice and the other half zucchini and onions. It was delicious as usual although the zucchini had a bitter after taste. I'm not sure what contributed to that! The shrimp and rice were well seasoned and flavorful. Yum! Overall, my dining experience was great. It was so good I forgot to take pictures!??☺️

Absolutely perfect! We ordered the steak and chicken teriyaki entree, the fried dumplings, mon crunch rolls and the sushi combo meal with ocean rolls and I replaced the seaweed salad with veggies and boy let me tell you, just perfect. We couldn’t be happier with the flavor of everything. Good job y’all!
