We stopped in Sumter, SC for the night on our drive from Vermont to Florida. Sidebar was strongly recommended for dinner and did not disappoint. BBQ sandwiches were excellent as well as sides (sweet potato fries, baked beans, cole slaw). There's also a lot of choices for draft beers and cocktails. We look forward to another dinner at Siidebar on our way back to Vermont next month.
I've never had a bad experience here. Our waiter today was the best, and I hate that I didn't get his name to post. I had the brisket and my mother had the shrimp nacho pizza. They were both excellent. I'm slowly working my way through the menu.
It was a beautiful day outdoors, so we sat on the patio for the first time. Immediately a familiar face came up and took our order. It has been a while since our last visit. Seeing the same very helpful young man speaks well of the restaurant. Turnover can be a big issue for lower quality restaurants. Our food was tasty. We were spoiled by excellent service and flavor.
