Food was great as always, and definitely the best service we have ever had. Food came out quick and we didn’t have to ask for anything. Kyndal was our waitress and will start asking for her section. Thanks

First time trying it and Im so glad we did. We got the baked Pimento cheese dip and it was so good Im sure I heard angels singing. Also had She Crab soup and the seafood platter with fried mac and cheese. Every thing was divine, fresh and quick. Service was also amazing and the place was so clean you could eat off the floors. (you really can't, dont ask and make it weird. ) Solid experience, can't wait to come back.

This place...

It brings me a sense of joy I can't begin to explain. This is the only place I can get true southern food, like back home.
The staff are legends, the food is beyond amazing and the atmosphere reminds me of back home.

Absolutely peak, I'd have typed out a joke or two but this place is just too perfect.

Fantastic people with great food. I actually ate here unexpectedly as I was given a gift card and father's day card that was mailed to them and that were gracious enough to hold onto for me. The level of care and customer service this showed was top notch and I really enjoyed getting to cash that card in and enjoy some fantastic southern food. If your in Sumter, definitely add this one to your list. They'll take care of you.

Had the She Crab soup and Fried Green Tomaroes with a sweet tea. The soup was scrumptious and the come back sauce served with the tomatoes was AMAZING. Waitress was super sweet and attentive and offered extra sauce and kept my drink full. Sweet tea was also delicious, the restaraunt was clean and the prices were so reasonable. My only regret was that I was too full for the homemade desserts. Stop in and they will make you feel at home! This spot is a hidden gem, don’t miss it if you’re in Sumter!

Visiting our son stationed at Shaw AFB, SC and wanted true southern cooking, we were not disappointed! We started with deviled eggs that rivaled my mother in laws, they were divine. My husband and southern grits with shrimp, I had fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. For dessert we had one slice of banana cake, I didn’t want to share! Thank you we’ll be coming back.

Just had the most disappointing experience at Simply Southern Bistro.

I went in today to pick up a large takeout order, and the hostess at the front was so sweet—she greeted me kindly and even suggested I move my car to the carryout door to make things easier. I really appreciated that little bit of extra help.

But when I got to the back, everything went downhill. Two women were at the carryout station. One asked what order I was picking up, and I repeated what the hostess had told me—that I was there for the large order. When she asked which one, I said it was for (Business Name) . Then both women walked behind the wall and started mocking me—saying things like, “Oh, she thinks she’s the only one ordering food, how entitled,” and “So rude,” followed by laughter.

Right then, the owner happened to walk up and introduced himself to me. I shook his hand and let him know what I had just heard. One of the women came back up front and told me my order would be another 15 minutes, and the owner told her, “She can hear y’all talking about her in the back.” The woman tried to brush it off, saying they were just trying to figure out which order I had.

The owner turned to me and said, “They just don’t understand.”

That was honestly such an awful experience. I was nothing but polite and just repeating what the hostess had told me, and I was treated like I was some kind of burden. I’ll never go back there again. Kindness matters—and so does professionalism.

Do better, Simply Southern.
