The owner was so friendly and understanding. She makes incredible ham delights. They are definitely the best caterers in Sumter!!

I needed a caterer in 3 days time for a funeral repass. Mrs. Carol contacted me ASAP after leaving a message, offered a very reasonable quote and provided a detailed contracted list of items for the catering service. The day of the repass, Mrs. Carol and her staff were on time and professionally represented with a beautiful setup. The food was amazing and she even provided an extra side. Everyone raved about the food and went back for seconds as much as they could. I would use Sisters's Cakes and Catering Service over and over and HIGHLY recommend their service for any cater needed event! Thank you Mrs. Carol and staff!!

News of their awful food and service is now known all the way in Connecticut.. One of our very own ended up sick in the hospital after eating under cooked chicken! This is absolutely unacceptable! Serving undercooked food and also expired food items is very disrespectful!! There's no Southern hospitality in that!!! This was just a money grab! You all know deep down inside that the money you were paid was not deserved! This is very bad business and you will reap what you have sown! The family of the family reunion you catered should be fully reimbursed and an apology should be made. Also anyone who suffered with food poisoning due to your negligence should have all medical expenses paid! The health department also needs to be contacted! This is not how you do business and this is not how you treat people!!!

No stars was not an option. My daughter ended up in the ER with food poisoning. The bake chicken you served Friday was not fully cooked at all. Everyone at my table,(my kids and grands) had peices that were still very red inside. I immediately told them not to eat it but the one who didn't listen got severely sick and our return home was delayed by a visit to the ER. I could go on about a lot but I asked my Aunts and Uncles who did a great job of putting our reunion together to please make sure we were served good southern cooked food like my Granma Rosa used to make and serve at our other family reunions and nothing good or southern was served!!!

I was very disappointed with the food and service. I'm a very friendly person but didn't appreciate the miserable look on the faces and the rude tone taken with several family members.
My husband is diabetic and his sugar count was dropping so he ask to have a hot dog to go as we had to go back to the hotel to pick up our son. The man told him that hopefully he would get some food upon his return since it was first come, first serve.
To be clear the family paid for food per person not on first come, first serve. And we also added extra people to the price per person so there would be extra.
The food was dry and not enjoyable at all. I was born and raised in Sumter so I did expected to have some nice southern cooking.
I must admit that there was one nice lady who smiled and was very helpful with questions. However, she was the only one. To her, I say thank you and keep up the good work. You (only that lady) were greatly appreciated ??.

This company catered my family reunion this past weekend. The food was not good and was not warm. Some of the staff wasn't friendly or professional. Most definitely not worth the money that was paid.

Recently we had a family reunion the food was not prepared well. Many of our family members got sick. One ever went to the emergency room with stomach problems. Later we learned she had food poisoning. Even the tea (Drink) was brought from a local grocery store and it was packed on the day after Fourth of July and needed to be used by July 11. Our reunion was held on the 12th and 13th. Food was placed at tables with no one sitting there and stayed there for extended period of time.

After reading the other online reviews, I was looking forward to eating at our family reunion! Boy was I disappointed. I thought caters cook and prepare their own food. Maybe I’m wrong. Store bought cake, yams straight out of the can, ranch dressing and potato salad sitting on the serving table for a prolonged period of time befeore being served, even the drinks store bought. The tea had a sell by date of June 11th and was served a week later. Sweet teas are more susceptible to bacteria and mold growth once they settle on a shelf at room, yet it was purchased and served.
I had an upset stomach and diarrhea for two days and so did my sister in law. I pray the food wasn’t the reason for another family member ending up in the ER with food poisoning.
High quality customer service was also lacking. Servers weren’t friendly and some had nasty attitudes when asked for things. Leftover food and drinks were packed up and taken before the event was even over on the first day and the next day would’ve been the same if nothing had been said to them. When food and drinks are paid for upfront, every other catering service leaves leftovers with the customer. The only thing that gets packed up are catering supplies, and materials like burners, racks, table covers (if applicable), serving utensil, extra dinnerware, and trays. The whole experience left a “bad taste in my mouth.” No pun intended.

My aunts have amazing food...I am a bit biased

My mother-in-law passed away and we are all from out of town and needed food for the family after the funeral. They took a last minute order from us (day before) and provided a wonderful meal for us. So many compliments on how great the food tasted. Super easy to work with and so pleasant.

I ordered Swedish meatballs and broccoli and cheese casserole from here for my mothers bday celebration. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Ms. Kirkland was very kind and courteous. I would definitely recommend their services to others!

Best catering service in Sumter!

So, I am in the middle of a wedding reception and the food is so good, I had to stop and write a review! If you have not had the food from Sisters' Cakes and Catering, you are missing out! I am eating the best southern cooking I have tasted in a while!
