Great brew company with a nice, relaxed atmosphere.
Fruited sours were good. Large place with 3 levels that offer 3 different vibes/ atmospheres. Dog friendly!
Good beer and the old fashioned was well done.
Food was good l, Beers were great. Live music was so unbelievably loud it was echoing off the walls and made it impossible to have any kind of conversation at the table. Left with a terrible headache. Will immediately turn around and find another place to spend time with friends if I see live music set up.
We always enjoy going to SOB. The food is good(it's not a fancy restaurant it's pub style food) we always get the burger and cheese curds and the pretzel bites with beer cheese is delicious. Good beer options as well. Something for pretty much any taste preference. It is kid friendly as well, as long as you're not there too terribly late.
Sumter Original Brewery is a great spot in downtown Sumter with plenty of space to enjoy. Three levels give it a unique feel, and it is super family friendly with wide open areas and a relaxed vibe.
The food was a highlight. The nachos were hands down the best I have ever had, and everything else we tried was solid bar food done right. The beer was delicious. The liquor drinks could use a little fine tuning, but they were still enjoyable.
There are games like ping pong, pool, and shuffleboard, which keep it fun, though I think even more activities would make the place even better. Overall it is a really fun spot that works well for large parties or just hanging out for the evening.
Great beers and food!
Great place.
I’ve given this place several chances but the food is terrible, got the chicken sandwich and it was both overdone and undercooked at the same time. The texture of the chicken was just off and the breading was tasteless, greasy and overcooked. No lettuce, tomato or sauce to give it any flavor just two sad pickles. The fries were also very bad, maybe the oil needs to be changed I don’t know. Got the chicken fingers last time, very over breaded and tough, like little hockey pucks, wanted to find something on the menu that wasn’t terrible, but so far no luck. I really like the trivia but next time we decided we just better eat before we come
Dog friendly, good beers and great atmosphere.

Great assortment of beers.
Great wing. awesome sour beers
The nachos were tasty but needs more cheese. But I’m a big cheese lover. The sliders were delicious love the bbq sauce. The beers are made on site. Our bartender Travis made sure our glass didn’t go empty and our food was served quickly. Grey Scholar made sure we felt at home. We ordered a flight of beer, very tasty. Great place to hang and play pool, ping pong or darts. Lots of room for the family to enjoy a great meal and bring your puppy. The only reason we gave the brewery a 4 star is they do not give a military discount. We hope to go back next time we pass their way.
This trip the staff were not friendly at all and we had to pay before we even tried the food. The food was not as good. I don’t think we will come back again. Beer is good but good beer is not enough.
I was lucky to snag the last ticket for a recent brewery tour, and it did not disappoint! The staff was incredible—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the brewing process. It was inspiring to see local talent being nurtured in such a great environment. After the tour, we enjoyed a fantastic meal of pub food. Highly recommend the experience!
Good drinks, the pretzel bites were burned and dry.
