Ward's Barbeque. I mean I could really just stop there right? For those of you have not had Ward's BBQ then I'm sorry because you haven't lived.The flavors, the tenderness, the rice at the with perfect amount of fluff. We've all had barbecue before and the rice was just a little crunchy. I don't know about you but I can't stand that. It completely throws off the whole meal whenever the rice is not perfectly tender.It's definitely hard not to think about that mouthwatering tangy slow cooked pig. It would be nice to have Ward's everyday but unfortunately not all locations are open everyday.Let me talk to you about what really makes Ward's the best barbeque place in town. It's people. They are the best example of good ol fashioned Southern Hospitality. Warm welcome with a warm smile everytime you come through those doors!I just want to say that Ward's BBQ has earned it's place in the hearts of our community for generations and we look forward to many generations to come. First time here and the employees were great and patient with me. My cousins used to go there all the time and they told me about the place. We were in the area so, we stopped in. The sauce they have to put on the BBQ really enhanced it. I really enjoyed the whole meal. Had the small BBQ plate which includes, hash, rice, BBQ and corn dodgers(hush puppies). Looking forward to going back.

Ward's BBQ is one of my top 5 BBQ restaurants. The to go plates are large and certainly give you your money's worth. I love the meat, cole slaw is very good and the hush puppies are some of my favorites. The hash served over rice is good, but not my favorite. Overall a good place when you need some comfort food.

I went to Wards BBQ on Alice Drive today for the first time. I ordered a small pork bbq dinner and a bbq sandwich plus a side order of bbq sauce. They were not very busy. I did NOT receive a receipt. When I returned home there was no bbq sauce in the bag or on my sandwich. I specifically asked for it to be added to the sandwich. The food was very dry and and I was not very impressed. I will not be returning to Wards BBQ ever.
