Wards is new and we love ribs. Unfortunately, Ribs were the worst I ever had. It was boiled and doused with bad bbq sauce. Hush puppies were very good

this is a hot mess! The chicken is bland asl doesn't even look or taste like it's been anywhere near a smoker or a grill. Not seasoned, looks like 8ts more baked than anything... Idk what this brown stuff is but it's not hash I've ever seen! Just terrible. $32 wasted!

Excellent BBQ as well as Hash&Rice. The ladies were super sweet and helpful. For "connoisseurs", the sauce is a delightfully tangy tomato/vinegar blend. I had the small plate, my husband some sandwiches. Portions were generous and filling. The Alice Dr location is open Wed thru Sunday. Others are open over the weekend. They do take credit/debit cards, at least at this location. Read about Ward's in The State paper of Columbia. 1st Place Winner with over 20000 votes as best BBQ of the Midlands. Runner up won 17000+ votes. The reason I mark it a 4 is NOT why you go to a BBQ place. But the slaw and potato salad were not up to par. To be honest, I've never been a fan of slaw, and grew up on German style potato salad. I thought both were quite bland, and the dressing very soupy. My husband, after we got home and had some from the tubs we bought, agreed. (Slaw fan). I'd definitely go back for BBQ and hash&rice. Yum!
Service was quick staff was friendly. Food is a little pricey but tastes great. I would recommend anyone eating here. Their menu has broadened and I'm pretty sure there's something that most people love.
