Have been to Bruisers on many occasions and have never been let down. Food is always on point. Staff have always been great and fast to service us. Pro tip for those who like heat ask for the ghost pepper cheese of your favorite burger!

Every time I’m craving a juicy burger or a cheesesteak I know where I’m going. Bruisers has the absolute best cheesesteak in the area and their fries are unmatched. Whenever we go my stepdaughter and I have a crunchy fry competition to see who gets the crunchiest one. We both end up with a ton. They’re SO good and fresh. Don’t sleep on Bruisers burgers.

Reputed to have the best burgers in town but tonight we tried the cheesesteak special and spicy crispy chicken. Wife claims best take on cheesesteak she’s ever had. A little spicy and lots of flavor. The GF bun held up and had a hint of cheese in it. Spicy chicken was very crisp and great flavor. Mama’s chow chow cut the spice. Great staff and friendly owner (retired police!). Coming up in 4 year anniversary of their opening on Jan 7…stop in.

The Food and the service is phenomenal! The best cheese steak around! The fries are just like my Mom used to make fresh cut and so GOOD! I would highly recommend this family owned little secret from the locals in Surfside!

I am going to leave my previous review below, but want to update it now after receiving a response from the business. After seeing the response, my family and I decided to give Bruiser’s another try. Like I said in my original review, we loved this place - but because of one of the employees we did not want to go back. So we were excited to feel comfortable about going in again. Our dining experience this time was so nice! Our waitress was fantastic, the food was fantastic, and we didn’t feel uncomfortable. We’re glad we’ll be able to start coming here again!! They really do have the best burgers around, by far. And now going to eat here is a MUCH nicer experience. The cheesesteak is great too! I’m glad to be able to give a 5 star review now.

If you read the other one star reviews, most are about the grumpy and miserable man that works here. He is costing this place customers! He has always been horrible. We would go in hoping to not get him as our server that day. Even warning the people we brought with us about him. (The other servers have always been great!) But our last experience with him was the last straw. Our table was out of paper towels, we hadn’t noticed and neither had our server. After our food came out, we needed some but our server was in the back. We weren’t annoyed or upset, just needed a paper towel or two. There was only one other table of people in there, so my aunt went ahead and ripped off about 3 or 4 paper towels from a full roll on an empty table beside us. Well this man walked out at that moment and SCREAMED at her from across the restaurant. He told her that she could have asked the server, and then brought over a roll and SLAMMED it down on the table, half on top of our plate of nachos! Throwing chips off the plate! The interaction was so uncomfortable that it ruined the rest of our dinner. He is so unbelievably and unnecessarily rude!!
We’ve been coming here since the place opened and loved the food. We have brought friends and family here, even had birthday dinners here. We live nearby and it was a go to spot. But we will not be back! This was a few months ago, and we haven’t returned. This man has been there since the beginning, and we’ve always dreaded seeing him. He’s the reason I never came to leave a positive review of this place before. I get that customer service jobs are exhausting and people are annoying. But if he hates people THAT much, to the point that he can’t even fake being a decent person, he should not be working with the public!!

Best burgers and hand cut fries south of New York and by far one of the best ever! Been there several times. I get the Bison Burger, but have had the beef also and super juicy They also have a gluten free bun option not listed on the menu, but their ordinary buns cause me no issues, which is not typical. French fries are homemade and not too greasy or salty. Delicious. Can't recommend it enough. Excellent prices, service and portion size.
