Fried shrimp from a fish shack is a must. The shrimp was crispy and fresh. The grouper bites were pretty tasty, but I’d recommend asking to fry them crispier. They were a little too soft and crumbly. The French fries stole the show. Perfect cut, perfect seasoning, and fried to a crispy delight. It was a Fry Fest at Bubba’s for me.

Had a carry out order. Charged me for two orders. No apology and seemed complicated to get it straightened. So lesson is always get a receipt and check it before u leave.

Wonderful place. Waitress was very friendly and nice. Great food. I had their grouper fingers and they were delicious and husband had the all you can eat catfish but could only eat on plate because pieces were huge. Everything was wonderful
Bubba's Fish Shack in Surfside Beach, SC has a recently slightly changed their menu along with price increases which can be expensive. The hushpuppies are still outstanding but they now have below average battered frozen fries, which used to be really good.

Decent pub food. Husband had blackened Mahi sandwich and said it was above average. I had Bubba’s Trash salad with grilled chicken, and it was just average. A good place to go if you are staying close by. But it’s not gonna blow your mind or anything.

Unfriendly staff. No greeting or no one to greet me when I walked in. Clam strips weren't good..not golden and rubbery. Clam strips were mixed in with fries so it was deceptive to see that there were not many clam strips. Fries were very good, though. I added cole slaw for 99¢, which was no better than Walmart's. The dipping cup size container is the only size they offer, which is ridiculous for a seafood restaurant as I always order coleslaw with seafood. They should have better tasting coleslaw served in a small bowl or dish. No goodbye or have a nice day. All they care about is $$ and to h with the customer. Better off at Golden Corral or the Chinese Buffet for the same price. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend the place. But, I got to see Surfside beach for the first time at least.
