Menu is interesting, with Italian “usuals,” such as lasagna and veal parm, but also some unique dishes, like walnut crusted salmon with zucchini noodles in a creamy dill sauce, all excellent, by the way. Drink specials included $5 margaritas and some wines. Service was friendly and attentive while not hovering. We enjoyed the coziness of a high booth. We have been here before and will be back. It is now one of our Favorites,

We frequent this restaurant a few times a year. Their food is alway consistent and full of flavor. I don’t get our servers name but she was awesome. You won’t be disappointed coming here for a meal.

Have visited this restaurant twice. Both times the food was excellent, served hot, and delicious. Had Gabriella as our server both times. She does an awesome job and is very friendly. Both visits were with different friends and all said they would return.

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT order the sliced sirloin calzone with peppers, onions and mushrooms. It’s disgusting! When I inquired to the waitress after my first couple of bites “is this steak-ums cause it’s suppose to be sliced sirloin steak?” She responded with, yes it’s steakums! I was like well, change your menu to say such!!!! When she returned to the table she came over, told me she had just spoke to the manager and was told “no need to change our menu it says sliced sirloin steak on the box”! Seriously! So, upon arriving home, did a lil research. Steakums says it’s made from beef, chopped and formed and sliced! 🤮 No where does it say sliced sirloin!!!! It might be made from cows tongue?????? Who knows! My side salad was good, balsamic dressing was very good. Other 5 people kind of enjoyed their meals but mentioned way too much garlic in White clam sauce, and small portions.

Looking for a different restaurant to try and found Casa Calamari on a Google search. Variety and prices shown on menu seemed reasonable and we prefer places that offer reservations. We had a group of 4 who all had different entrees. Everyone loved their meals, salads and bread. Gabriella was our server and she was terrific with a beautiful smile and great sense of humor. I would highly recommend Casa Calmari and we will certainly return. All of our entrees were pasta related but we may try their pizzas next trip for a change. You must turn right off of business 17 South, just south of 544. Immediately turn right on an access road and head back north a short way. Restaurant sits back a little on the left.

The bruschetta was absolutely wonderful. The eggplant parmesan was delicious but the spaghetti sauce was a little sweet for me.

My husband and I chose Casa Calamari last night for my birthday dinner. The veal parmesan was excellent, maybe the best I had ever had. And the bread is always delicious. It was a wonderful evening.

This restaurant is deceivingly good. Their fried calamari is cooked to perfection and so are the scallops fra Diavolo. The server took great care to fulfill our every wish, and we had plenty! The drinks were not expensive and, very reasonable. I highly recommend going there . It is a neighborhood gem in Surfside, SC.

Food was very good. Pasta came out steaming and has always been good. The rustica, carbonara, and sun-dried penne ala vodka were all good. Dinner comes with salad and very good bread with cheese, olive oil, and spices.
