While in Surfside Beach we stopped in Gracious Pig and we were not disappointed! The service and food were great!

Server was super sweet but lacked knowledge on GF items. She frequently had to ask someone else which didn’t make me feel great since I have an allergy. The bbq was mediocre but to be fair I am used to great Kansas City BBQ. The pulled pork and brisket came out cold. The green beans had no seasoning and the potato salad had the oddest flavor. My husband got the mac and cheese and he said it was great. They also were not serving deviled eggs that day. The sauces were all great! It was mediocre food but the atmosphere was great and so was the location.

(11/14/2025) We were a group of 4 people and the only customers in the restaurant at the time (5pm) Our server was not attentive and ignored us multiple times even though no one else was in the restaurant. The kitchen made 3/4 orders correctly but extremely over cooked. The other order was completely wrong then the staff lied about making the wrong food. When the correct food came out it was honestly was very good. Overall the food and service were terrible. Our server was terrible… she did not even ask about how to split the bill when it was clear that it was 2 couples. The icing on the cake was seeing the staff get pizza delivered to themselves then having the entirety of staff disappear in the back leaving us with empty drinks and no service. I would never go back there and highly recommend other better options around the area before going to this poorly organized establishment.

The first time we went we had already had lunch somewhere else. We sat at the tiny counter and had a couple of ice cold beers and great conversation with the staff. We went back a week later and had lunch. It was excellent. Next we want to try their breakfast.
