OMG! Fresh salad, homemade dressing, and the best crab cake and mustard sauce ever. Delish! Highly recommend.

Nothing better than having a chef who truly wants to please each and every customer, and it helps that the chef is as accomplished as Shelle! My wife and I eat there regularly because the food is fresh, prepared to our liking, and we enjoy the homey feel. The additional benefit of being able to call in and have a meal ready for take home in about 15 minutes has saved us several times. Bon Appetit!!!

You should come here! We stopped for lunch and it was great. My wife had the crab bisque, which was thick, lots of crab, creamy and just downright delicious. She also ordered the fish tacos, but asked if she could substitute shrimp. Shelle agreed and the shrimp tacos were also great. So much that I even got one when my wife was full. I had the strawberry salad. Very fresh and tasty. I added shrimp to top it off. It was a great lunch.
It wasn't busy, and we talked to a gentleman next to us. We were there on vacation, but he lives a few blocks away and comes frequently for the crab bisque soup. So an independent recommendation.

This is not a negative review, rather one in which to combat the tidal wave of unrealistic 5 star reviews. The Crab bisque was great, creamy with a nice sherry aftertaste. We chose the special, mahi and shrimp cakes for $16.99. Though a fun and creative idea the feature for the cake was breading. The mustard aioli saved the day. We also tried the crab cake and stuffed shrimp. Again the feature flavor was breading, not quite the Maryland style advertised. The sides are familiar to a home cooked meal though nothing to rave about. Overall, I did enjoy Shelle’s cooking and would root for the business to thrive!

Ate at this small restaurant today. I had the strawberry pecan salad which comes with chicken or shrimp. Salad was excellent- greens very crisp, feta, strawberries and pecans. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing- and a piece of key lime pie for dessert. My husband had the mahi-mahi and shrimp cakes with red beans and rice. Everything is homemade and excellent! Highly recommend- give this new business a try!!

What a lucky find! My wife and I stumbled across Shelle’s Bistro to Go and stopped in for lunch! Crab bisque that will make you cry tears of joy! So good we took a quart with us. Followed the bisque with Mahi Mahi tacos with an aioli that was a perfect complement to the fish. A great lunch but we had spotted the key lime pie and couldn’t resist! So glad we took the next step and savored EVERY bite! Shelle is a charming host to top off the experience! You have GOT to try Shelle’s - you’ll be glad you did and YES, we’ll be back. Thanks, Shelle!

Some wonderful friends gifted me with Shelle’s bistro dinners when I recently had a fall . My husband and I dined on some very wonderful meals. They were generous portions and very tasty. The meals happen to be dairy and gluten-free, but honestly anyone would enjoy the quality of the meals. I was very pleased, and very blessed to enjoy these and highly recommended to others

With the departure of Oceans Edge Salon and Spa downtown Surfside Beach gained another eatery with the likes of Shelle’s Bistro. With a slogan of “Where southern flavors and fresh seafood unite” owner/creator Rochelle Drouillard is creating her own culinary magic. With a simple “grab and go” of sandwiches, soups and salads to a more standard menu with daily specials, fresh seafood from Harrelson’s Seafood Market, pot roast, shepherd’s pie, fish tacos and desserts. Laidback interior with a vibrant ocean theme and murals with a mixture of tables and chairs with stools and window ledges shaped like surfboards. Our Chicken Salad Wrap was a shareable, made from scratch chicken salad with a creamy, chunky texture with lettuce and grapes wrapped in a tortilla. Our choice of side was their own potato salad that was just as creamy and chunky as their chicken salad. Both were commendable and service was friendly and prompt.

Found this lovely gem in Surfside, while searching for a Mufaletta sandwich for a friend, and decided to place an order to go.And then I realized they had crab bisque so had to add a couple of those to the order, being that I'm from Maryland, and it was absolutely delicious! Nice and creamy with so much flavor! The mufaletta is HUGE and looks yummy!This is the cutest bistro ever! The owner (I assume) and the girl behind the host stand were both sooo friendly and made you feel very welcome.Next time I'm definitely coming to eat in ?
