Found this gem using Google, otherwise wouldn't have known it was there, there is no sign outside. The building and interior are dated for sure but the host was extremely nice and helpful and the food was excellent, plentiful, and not expensive at all. Definitely recommend!

We came because of the great reviews, unfortunately that was not our experience. I'm kind of confused by some of these reviews I've seen because to say the table was sticky as the only complaint for some, is a fallacy. The silverware was not properly rolled nor clean, and the menu (much like the establishment) was taped together. There was a clear cleanliness issue with plating as there was grease on basically everything. The food, while not bad, and definitely thoroughly cooked, was concerning. I cannot believe that the food inspection certification A sign out front is valid due to food safety concerns with pests which was evident in our meals. There was another couple who came in and hightailed it out of there after one look around, we should have followed their lead. The fact that there was no sign out front should have been the biggest red flag.

As much as I would like to give this small business a better rating, I can't because of the cleanliness issues. I found a small bug cooked into my pancakes and everything had grease on it (cups, utensils, etc.)Comparing this establishment to waffle house, just about any given waffle house is cleaner.I suspect the prices are too low to afford basic cleaning and maintenance.

Only complaint is that my table was a little sticky. Other than that it was like being back at my grandma's house when I was 10. It was great. $5.99 for a huge plate of pancake, eggs and bacon is crazy these days and it was delicious.

I found hair in my pancakes and in my potatoes not only that the plates and cups where really dirty also there was a small cockroach on the table if i where you don’t eat here.

Food is Southern comfort food, always great. Owner works hard to maintain the operation. I will always support the privateers versus the chain restaurants.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Ordered a coffee and the cup the creamer came in was so dirty there was stuff caked on the side. We hightailed it out of there.

No outside sign to let you know you are there. Customer service was not very good. It was not busy and had to wait on refills. Bathroom walls needed clean. We had a hair in a biscuit and my sweet tea had grounds in it. I would not recommend.
