I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Publix pharmacy that I feel compelled to share. From the outset, their policy on medication refills seemed unnecessarily strict and arbitrary, leading to significant inconvenience on my part. The pharmacist, Presley, was particularly difficult to deal with. Rather than assisting customers with their needs or trying to understand their situations, he seemed to go out of his way to create or exacerbate problems. On one occasion, he took it upon himself to contact my primary care physician's office over a standard refill request, a practice I had never encountered before and found utterly baffling. To add insult to injury, when I went to pick up my medication, Presley had arranged for a rather unwelcome reception. I was met by several staff members who informed me, in no uncertain terms, that I was no longer welcome to use their pharmacy services due to the aforementioned conflicts. This experience was not only humiliating but also disruptive to my healthcare routine. It's disappointing to see a pharmacy, a place that should be a cornerstone of support and care in the community, fail so significantly in customer service and understanding. The lack of empathy and flexibility in handling what should have been straightforward transactions is alarming. Such experiences erode trust and confidence, not just in the specific individuals involved, but in the establishment as a whole. I sincerely hope that Publix reevaluates its policies and the behavior of its pharmacy staff, particularly Presley, to better serve and respect its customers.
The best cake! I shared my vision and you made it happen!
The grocery store itself is great. However, after being a faithful customer for 14 years, I will never EVER fill our prescriptions at the Taylors, SC Publix ever again. My 7 year old has croup and that is complicated by her narrower than average airways. They refused to fill her steroid rx of Prednisolone, the way it was intended to be filled, not because of a mistake of the doctor, or being out stock, but the pharmacist's OPINION. She requested it be done a different way, because this particular prescription has "too much alcohol". My doctor okayed a different suspension, and they are claiming they never heard from the dr. I went to Walgreens to get the prescription transferred and Publix REFUSED to transfer it. They literally held my daughter's prescription hostage. I ended up having the pediatrician call in the rx to another pharmacy, directly, because of Publix's refusal to cooperate. My pediatrician's office is swamped because it is sick season, so it took them awhile to remedy the situation. Her throat is SO swollen that she won't even talk. Her croup continued to get worse, she began to cry and panic, and I thought we may have to take her to the ER. I FINALLY picked up her steroid, 5 HOURS LATER, from a different pharmacy. The pharmacist that actually helped me was shocked at the refusal and indifference from the Taylors pharmacy. He said the amount of alcohol in Prenisolone is negligible and there was NO reason to refuse to fill it, try to change it, and then hold my rx HOSTAGE once I decided to go to a different pharmacy. I will never EVER use your pharmacy again, and I will be sure the store manager and corporate hears about it. The actions (or rather inaction) of your Taylors pharmacy almost landed my 7 year old in the hospital.
