The Farehouse - Taylors Mill

The trout dip and entree’ with trout in a creamy wine sauce is excellent. They were out of that when I went. Tried the chicken marsala. It is a horrible slab of chicken that was breaded and over fried. So far from what anyone I know calls chicken marsala. Even the pasta tasted bad.

Amazing food and even better service. Very cool location with a great wine selection. Has a few activities in the area.

Always love coming here to eat. The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious. Love Love Love their Filet w/ the blue cheese cremà!! Bar dinks are always perfect and hit the spot. Location is very neat with lots to do around, definitely a Gem!!

Dust your fan blades and the lights at your booth tables please…..And when we come in to eat at 5:00 we are always told booths are reserved,please consider reserving your tables first,we are told every time that we need to leave the booth by a certain time

Staff looked overworked! Our appetizers and food came out at the same time. Our order of smoked wings were burnt to a crisp. Waitress didn’t seem to care. The Farehouse is never ever getting my business at the Taylor’s SC location.

We’ve been to The Farehouse several times and have had great food and service in the past. However, the past two times, the quality of service we received has us not wanting to return. Last Saturday, I ordered a to go order of a turkey BLT with wedges. My food was not ready until over 30 minutes after the time indicated online despite the restaurant not appearing to be busy. I went back several times to see if my sandwich was ready and each time the hostess would look at the empty counter behind her and say it was not ready. To my knowledge she did not ask the kitchen for a status update and I was not offered an apology for the delay. When I finally got my sandwich, 50 minutes after ordering, the bread was not toasted, had two small slices of turkey, and one small slice of lettuce and tomato. Thinking this was just a one off, we made a reservation and went back tonight for dinner. No one was at the hostess stand when we arrived and we waited a few minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited for our server to come take our drink order. There seemed to be four servers working and several empty tables around us; several of the servers passed us by without acknowledgement. After waiting over 10 minutes for a server to take our drink order or even speak to us, we left the restaurant—without acknowledgement. We are always respectful of reasonable wait times and delays but customer service is key. We have enjoyed our past experiences at The Farehouse but do not see ourselves returning for sometime.

Went here for my wife’s and I Valentine’s Day dinner and the food was amazing. The wings were great and my wife’s steak came out perfect. Our server Sarah took very good care of us. She was friendly and on top of the ball. She never left our cups empty. 10/10 would recommend to everyone to come eat here.
