I loved the barbecue sandwich and the hush puppies with honey butter. Our waitress was super nice. My husband really liked the ribs and fried okra. I also liked the aesthetics of the place, like the tile at the bar, and the plate my food came on was really unique. Convenient location as well.
I frequent 521 BBQ & Grill often because it is reliable BBQ, the staff is very nice and food is out quickly.

We’ve been eating at 521 BBQ for years and their food used to be so good. Their pulled pork used to be my favorite in the Charlotte area, but now it’s fatty and greasy. The ribs are very fatty as well. I believe the ownership changed recently and it’s definitely not the same. The hush puppies were a little dry and one actually had a hair baked into it. Didn’t eat any more after that. Probably will not return.

Best BBQ Ribs in town. Every time we were in town for work, me and my coworkers always stopped here for dinner. You have to try it out, it’s one of the best in town.
What an awesome vibe and great food we had at 521 BBQ Grille tonight. Toni and Meri have created an atmosphere of comfort and zen in this restaurant! We are so happy that we made the trip from Iron Station to check them out ! We will be back!
Walked in with new owners, no one smiles or acts like they want to be there. Then we watched the bartender sit in a chair the entire time on his phone. No wonder the place was empty. Customer service was barely existent. Sad.
